Human Meat

In the News

I have just watched this show on channel 4 by gregg Wallace about how they are making human meat out of human cells and selling it, and they are also taking cells from children.

I can see how adults can consent to having their cells harvested for the meat 🍖

But I can't see how a child under seven can consent so surely this could be classified as abuse 🤔

You could tell that after gregg found out that he had eaten a steak made out of children meat he was shocked 😲

I’ve not seen this but someone posted something on Facebook about it. Why? Sounds like cannibalism to me. 🤢

DarrenWorts it was not real it was what they call a mockumentary

The show saw Gregg - and fellow chef Michel Roux Jr, 63 - visiting a factory that manufactured “engineered human meat” and the duo met with financially challenged families who were selling their flesh as donors to a fictional company called Good Harvest.

The human flesh was then grown in labs to be used in the creation of steaks, burgers and sausages - but fortunately the entire process was a mockumentary and intended to be regarded as satire.

emmabeckz Oh thank goodness for that! Thanks for clearing that up! Sounds more like a horror film. The things people come up with!

emmabeckz Was it? 🤣

I thought that it was probably BS, but I didn't see the programme or look into it further.

Just call TheChimp a fool for now.

I am ashamed for thinking about anything different for more than 30 seconds 😶

Real or not, I found it rather disturbing and sic, but on the other hand I am wondering if this will eventually be reality. 🙈

DiODonoghue I was thinking its OK for the adults to choose to do it but the children was just wrong on so many levels. Then I was thinking what if they were mixing the humans meat with the animals meat like when we had horse meat in our beefburgers.

Apparently, this programme was a mockumentary - not based on reality. Wouldn't surprise me if this became reality in the future though!

Honestly watching it, there's no way you could think it was real. You could see Gregg trying not to laugh at times. The point was people are struggling and turning to all sorts to be able to feed their family
