Is Your Neighborhood Facing an Unusual Rise in Fires?
Ask a Question
The hot weather is obviously a factor here, but we seem to be having an unusual increase in Fires here in Essex. Warehouses, homes, garages—you name it. Have you noticed this where you live?
I live in Essex but have not seen or heard anything. But tbh I've not really looked at news items in the area.
It's idiots on the moorland having a bbq that cause the majority of our wildfires. I Wish that disposable how's were not sold at all
No I haven't noticed any where I am. Its been OK where I live but if things are dry then I guess it's likely to be easier for fire's to start
No not in my area, I’m in Surrey so less factory’s. However the weather could be a factor but you get that more abroad.
Here in bradwell on sea Essex we getting more fires many are being set a light by teenages a group of them set fire to wheat field the poor Farmer lost the lot
As soon as the weather gets hot we have problems, we have the Trans Pennine Trail run through Sheffield & we get the usual eeeeeejits setting fires along there...
No nothing near us, we've had everything else that this lawless country has to turned into, but definitely no fires (yet)
Lots of people are moaning and quite rightly so about people having bonfires in the day light hours. Many people have washing out or just want to enjoy using their outside spaces, it’s not right.
eyeballkerry It always used to be bonfires should be lit after 6pm and any decent person who can see neighbours washing out would knock and let them know.
EmmaWright762 People don’t seem to care anymore. I used to think it was after 6pm, either the law changed or people respected each other back then and it was an unsaid rule.
As soon as the sun is out & we get a nice drying day, the first in ages that's when people seem to light fires..
My neighbour up the road was burning all sorts the other year as I walked home from my long shift at work.
It was soooo bad with the air filled with smoke that I had to walk on the other side of our small road where it's a blind bend & it's just gardens from the homes on the next road & has NO pavement to walk on..
It was sooo bad I took a photo to show my colleague at work when he was complaining about fires...
