Insect Wings Inspire Scientists to Tackle the Issue of Food Waste

Other

Scientists have developed a new type of nanotexture that helps to kill 70% of bacteria on food from studying the antibacterial coating on insect wings

They have already been able to apply it to hard plastic , soft plastic is to be tackled next

Food can then be stored longer and create less waste

Nature continous to astound me , it seems most of the answers needed to solve these types of problems are right in front of us

Has anyone seen Gordon Ramsay's shows? The chefs he sometimes helped while others refused as they thought Gordon was wrong.

My point is, they made inedible food, but poor nations would eat that as they have no other option. "Chefs" like those need to be fired and lose their license/certificate so food doesn't go to waste.

Don't regret not going to restaurants anymore. It's more comfortable at home, anyway.

Yes I eat mostly at home now. I do like my coffee/bacon roll slum down on a Saturday morning though.

I am sure it will be perfectly safe for human, until it is not. I like bacteria, they are very hard working individual.

Very interesting! Food waste in a huge issue so anything that can help us use it more wisely and waste less has to be a good thing.
