If i were younger i would be very tempted. But much as it sounds idyllic could any of us really be happy without all life's luxuries and necessities. Would love to try it out for a few months though.
In many ways it would be lovely to have no neighbours but I can also see the disadvantages of having no shops and probably an insufficient supply of ear muffs & scarves against the cold!
It does also specify that the generous cash grant must be used to refurbish or restore the properties on the island so you wouldn't gain financially really and there would be a lot of work involved.
As you say, this is for the younger generation... On balance I think I'll give it a miss.
Lynibis Undoubtedly not and I imagine it would take some time to get it sent over from the mainland too.
