I’m sick of everything football 
, politics and tennis 
on tv. There, I said it. Wouldn’t matter so much if weather was better so could go out and about instead. Oh well.
JLouM one reason why we don't have TV. Also why does every checkout operator have to ask "did you see the football" or "who do you think will win the tennis". I don't care and couldn't even tell you who is playing.
I agree. All this fuss over kicking an inflated leather ball. Besides, with the state the country is in now I find it hard to feel patriotic.
It brings some joy to people I don't like it myself but if it makes some people happy so be it

We've got a new government & England are in the final. All positives & many people are feeling hopeful again. It's a good thing. Let them enjoy it I say till it likely all falls apart lol.
Glitterandgold Yes they can enjoy while it lasts, probably short lived though. Hope the new government can sort it out though because they need to.

Glitterandgold I’m reserving my judgment. I may not be entirely happy with the new power but I’ll give them a chance. They could do some good and hopefully not a lot worse. We’ll see though.

JLouM Exactly how I feel. I think they deserve a chance & I'm hopeful about some of their ideas. Time will tell with actions tho.

Anyways, we aren't allowed to talk about politics on ere, & I don't want to upset JLouM thread so I'll leave it here.
I don't watch the tennis but I've found the politics coverage really interesting and I've really enjoyed the football too. Its not for everyone but it brings people joy and we all need a little joy in our lives.
I agree. I dread Wimbledon, racing, football, motor sport and when 3 are on top 4 channels I could scream! Can't say I like politics but I do try to keep abreast of what is going on.
I don't particular like Tennis, I put up with that & Football as my partner & daughter love both, my daughter is very interested in politics too..
At 10 year old my daughter could name all the party leaders & prime minister..
I enjoy some of the Tennis until there are no British players left which is usually the second day of Wimbledon. I'm enjoying the Euros while England are in it which on this rare occasion is right until the end. I get annoyed with politics as no one faces the issue of a huge trading deficit and the huge debts they just come up with ridiculous policies and focus on spending money they haven't got. You can still enjoy life even with declining living standards. We are still far better off than most people in the world so no reason not to be positive. I'm hoping Labour will make things a bit better but they could make it a bit worse we shall see.
I am totally with you all doing my head in. And what they call men running around a pitch getting payed way to much to kick a ball. Oh and goodness if they fall they need a stratcher

. Don’t cry over emotional proper reasons as still seen as weak. Personally I think of it in reverse. If they cry about problems I see that as strength. Not over a flippin ball game in a field.
I understand exactly where you are coming from. I am not a sports but have watched the euros for the last couple of weeks. But used to hate it when they cancelled programmes on all channels for sport. I watch mainly Netflix now.
