How Do You Keep Your Dogs Teeth Clean, Coconut Oil ?

Ask a Question

I want to start cleaning my dogs teeth as the spray i use doesn't seem to work as the dental sticks don't also

She is a yorkiepoo and they are prone to bad teeth apparently

A trip to the vets for a clean is expensive and she has been twice in the past 12 months or so

Friends cleans their poodles teeth every day and his teeth are very white

They use a dog toothpaste , but then i read a few articles saying coconut oil is also good

But one article using the latest research says not to use it

I am totally confused now

MelissaLee1 I never thought of using it on myself M, although i do use my toothbrush dipped in bicarbonate of soda to keep those pearly whites

But i read you cannot use it on dogs as it is too acidic

Well people use oil it's called oil pulling but I've never done it on my dog when she was alive lol I'd just keep brushing her/his teeth daily found this on Google Coconut oil is safe for dogs to consume, and can help reduce plaque and tartar build-up on their teeth. To use coconut oil to brush your dog's teeth, simply rub a small amount of coconut oil onto their teeth and gums. You can also add a bit of water to help make the process easier

Leannexxx Did you use a manual brush or electric on your dog L ?

I am thinking of trying an electric brush as that's what i use

If i use mine of course i will change the head 😀

telmel I used manual only because when I tried the electric one she thought it was a toy and wouldn't stop biting it 😊
