Is Lego Just for Kids???

Ask a Question

I have really gotten into lego again as an adult. How many of you are into the lego hobby more than what your kids are?

Feels very much more than just a kids toy these days.

When my kids get some I usually try then their dad does it. They make lego for adults now so obviously your not alone. Personally I'm really into diamond art right now

Lots of adverts show bouquets so I doubt that they are aimed at children.

Pjran Disappointingly. It used to be aimed at children.

30-40 year old "kids" are the new target audience.

PhilipMarc our granddaughter now plays with our children’s Lego. We stored it in the loft for decades.

Pjran there's people who buy them to resell, but in order to do so you need to know or gamble away with luck.

It used to be, now it seems to be aimed at adult collector's which obviously has boosted its price.

I never got into LEGO although I'll admit they're cool toys. My two favorite things from LEGO are Lego Star Wars (game) and LEGO City Undercover (game), they're a lot of fun.

It's not aimed at kids with pocket money these days. More aimed at adults with money to spare.

No, some of the Lego sets, costs hundreds and are aimed at adults, my son who is in his mid twenties collects the Star Wars Helmets and I can honestly say to looks after it better than when he was a kid 😀

No it’s not even as good as it was yrs ago I believe for kids. You can’t just get big buckets of assorted Lego so kids can use their own imagination building whatever they like. Now it all seems to be sets to build exactly what’s on the box

Must have a good look liammwalsh. Anything I’ve seen recently has all been sets as I wanted box of all mixed so grandkids can make their own creations. Older grandson (15) loves the sets and builds them and has special unit for them but 5 yr old granddaughter wants to build houses and castles - for whichever princess is favour of the day 😂 and other 2 don’t see point in Lego. I always loved Lego and then building it with my own kids so must definitely look around for mixed boxes. Thanks for sharing

I love Lego, we still have our children's from 40+ yrs ago, and our 4 yr old grandson only just started to play with it with help from his grandad. He has monster trucks, spiderman, and a few others. My daughter had the New Adult Roses Lego bought for her and it looks gorgeous. I have just had the Bonsai tree given as a gift, and I cannot wait to start building it. Lego is most definitely for all ages.

I also love Lego, I do the Technic sets, mainly cars.

A couple of years ago I picked up the Lamborghini for half price as part of Amazons Black Friday deals.

I completed the set, broke it down, re-bagged it, and sold it for more than I paid.

Um no. Lego is for anyone who enjoys it. Who says you've got to stop playing with toys just because you're a certain age. As a play worker I can tell you adults stop playing its different. We may do arts and craft, crosswords cycle it's still play.

Some great new sets just been released and I like the fact you can submit your own ideas and if you get enough votes and support it can actually turn into a final product in the shops
