Lets Have a Laugh, Whats the Present You Gave That Wasnt Well Received?
Ask a Question
I bought my husband a woodwork router one year, it’s never been used. He didn’t let on at the time that he wouldn’t use it. Total waste of money because by the time I remembered to take it back it was too late. It takes up valuable space in the garage and I doubt it will work after all this time.
Have you bought anything that wasn’t used or appreciated?
My son settled down with his first gf and for his 21st birthday I gave him an expensive drill set so he could do some D.I.Y. He wasn't very impressed though he tried to hide his disappointment. However it paid off as 30 years later he can turn his hand to most jobs around the house, doing stuff for me too.
Many years ago I brought my mother a plastic jug blender. She said how nice and put it into the kitchen cupboard. Fast forward the jug was still in the original box unopened at the back of one of the kitchen unit. Lesson learnt: ask first before buying anything electrical.
I bought my OH a expensive telescope for Christmas, that he asked for I may add. 6 years later it's still unopened in its box now residing in our loft. Apparently he intends to 'get round to enjoying it'
Glitterandgold at least its something he wants. You’ve obviously kept him busy decorating and gardening
Ever year I would buy my mother a present and ever year she would want to return it. So last year i didnt buy her a present but my brother did and he had to return it!
eyeballkerry at least she’s honest and not just hiding it. I hope she used the refund to buy something she liked.
