How Long Does Red and White Wine Stay Fresh in the Fridge?

Other

Maybe this is not a question we all are asking, you might get through a whole bottle of wine after a hard day at work , sharing or not

But sometimes you just want a glass or two to just take the edge off

Unbeknown to some, wine does not stay fresh for very long before it can start to turn vinegary and it all depends on the type

Sparkling wine will last 1 to 3 days in the fridge, light white, sweet white and rosé wines 4 to 5 days and full-bodied white wine 2 to 3 days

Red wine lasts a respectable 3 to 5 days as with the sweet white

But there are other factors to consider, how they are resealed and positioned are two

There are other tips in the article that might help to keep that chardonnay a bit longer , so worth a read

So cin cin, salute, or down the neck as we might tend to say !

Red Wine don`t belong In the fridge as Its too cold for It. Why people put Red Wine Inside a Fridge baffles me. Another thing they do Is open the bottle and serve It straight away. Red Wine needs to breathe first. White Wine Is different In many ways.

martinlufc5637 Wine is very overrated. I much prefer cider personally, or a JD and coke.

You don’t store red wine in the fridge. Once opened, I generally don’t keep it longer than two days (personal preferenc). white wine should be stored in the fridge once opened. I don’t keep it after 3 days

PayItForward Did you know you can freeze wine P ?

I don't know what it would taste like but found this on google#

Can you freeze white wine

Although it's unconventional, the answer is yes. You can freeze wine! The frozen wine won't be quite the same when it thaws, so you probably won't want to drink it straight out of the glass. That doesn't mean you can't use it to make wine coolers like sangria, and frozen wine is perfect for cooking, too.Nov 28, 2023

telmel If I happen to have any wine left, which isn't very often I have to add, I always freeze it. Doing this enables me to whack it in my cooking, adding to the flavour of my food 😋

I’d say just drink it, you can keep for longer if you choose in fridge for white n rose otherwise freeze in ice cube trays to add to dinner such as spaghetti bowl red wine.

I’d say 1-3 days, I drink white. Someone gave me a couple of bottles of wine and I thought awwww that’s so nice, got home and realised they had been opened and were donkeys old, save to say they went on the bin x

Leannexxx Heres one reason not to do that L

Why do you not put red wine in the fridge?

Leaving red wine in the fridge will most likely ruin the quality of your wine. Cold temperatures heighten the wine's structure including the tannins. Tannins help provide texture and structure to Wines, and without them, wine can taste very unpleasant

Cant say I’ve ever put my wines in the fridge - I ensure the entire bottle is polished up so never need to save any for next time (just crack open another bottle!)

White a good couple of weeks. Bubbly the day it's opened. Don't think red goes in the fridge
