Making Fried Eggs in an Air Fryer, Does It Work for You ?
In the News
I love eggs , poached, boiled, fried or scrambled
But i prefer cooking them with the least mess possible , i suppose boiled is the easiest method
But then i spotted this hack in the mirror, cooking the eggs in the air fryer without hot oil or fat
You just need to put foil down in the base, and add your eggs and chilli flakes with a drizzle of olive oil and it says cook for three minutes
But there is one important thing , you must take your eggs from the fridge and only cook them at room temperature otherwise it won't work
I just tried this hack and i found three minutes was not enough , it took 8 minutes
Plus i found the egg stuck to the foil , so i would use either air fryer parchment paper or a silicon mould to overcome this problem
If you try it let me know if it worked for you

I cooked some eggs on tin foil in an electric oven before air fryers even came out lol
I saw a video about using a slice of bread put some mayonnaise on it around the bread the outline of it put an egg inside the mayonnaise acts like a barrier so it doesn’t move lol and cook it
Tricky cause the bread gets toasted faster than the egg gets cooked lol tried it once and it was delicious
Actually never cooked it again haha
Also tried the egg quiche bake too in the small electric oven, it does take a few minutes but it feels like forever if you are hungry!
Maybe try this as the egg doesn’t get wasted getting stuck on tin foil lol or as you said use those items as you are using an air fryer but yeah try it on top of a slice of bread haha new yummy recipe
Not for me. I prefer eggs cooked the traditional way personally. I have never tried them In the air fryer but It`s like putting them In a regular oven. Same as putting them In a Microwave? NOPE.
I consider myself an eggspert in all things eggy. The one thing I will never try again is air-boiled eggs. They tasted like rubber removed from a corpse. And the texture was like eating the soft inside part of a car tire.
I wouldn't have a clue, my sister bought me an air fryer almost two years ago, it's still in the box.
I’ve had mixed results with both microwave and air fryer eggs . Eggs in airfryer took longer than instructions said but were nice and had some success with poached in egg microwave the ones that didn’t explode were great
I personally don't like anything done in an air fryer, things just don't taste the same apart from fries
martinlufc5637 never used one but family does, the air fryer cooks frozen foods fast but can easily burn them and the machine itself gives off a horrible plastic smell making whole house smell even more
Eggs should be fried in a frying pan for fried eggs, boiled in water in saucepan for boiled eggs and for poached. Stick to the traditional way then you won’t go wrong. Eggs aren’t difficult to master in the normal way.
I never tried first time I heard I don’t eat eggs but family members do will show them this topic thanks
Like you I love eggs and had one last night for dinner with chips . I have tried cooking them in the airfryer on tinfoil and found they stuck to !
