Money Saving

I have notice that morrison more card has brought back the points to earn the five pounds vouchers. Also you can get bonus points for buying certain products like donuts.

It’s good to know they’ve gone back to the voucher way of doing things because when they changed it i pretty much stopped using it as it was pointless for me

Wow I didn't know about this. I haven't been to Morrison for more than a year now. I think my Morrison More Card has expired. I will find out when I try to use it soon.

Morrisons have lost so many customers. They were taken over by an American company using a leveraged buyout so the cost of buying them is put on the business itself. Why banks are stupid enough to do this and loan money like this is a real mystery to me and just after buying of course the market took a downturn and Morrisons debts were even harder to service. So Morrisons put up prices more than their competitors and of course many people stopped using Morrisons as much. So now they are trying to get back market share. Morrisons have debts of over £6 billion and last year I think their profits were only enough to pay half of the interest on their debts so their debt pile is increasing. Asda is in a similar but not as bad situation.

Personally I like Morrisons as a supermarket but such debts are like a cancer to such businesses. Aldi and Lidl finance themselves by having a far higher percentage of cheaper imported goods so benefit from a much higher margin hence they can expand rapidly.

It’s about time they did something. They don’t offer good promotions these days

I guess they are getting more desperate, if only they reduced the prices they could axe all these schemes.

I don't use Morrisons very often but popped in there yesterday and had to download the ap to get the discounts advertised, I will probably never get enough points for a voucher lol.

I use Morrison’s online. I find codes, this week was a £10 off. So if the codes keep coming then they have my custom.

I went in on Friday and had their half price fish and chips which was £3.49 plus a apple crumble £2.99. There was a promotion of 600 points if you spend over £6 at the cafe so I get 60p back on that in points. It was a very nice meal too for less than £6. Earlier in the week had the two breakfasts with a drink each for £10 and £1.20 of points registered for that for some reason on a different morrisons plus card. So only £4.40 for a english breakfast and a hot drink each.

I have all the store cards, even if I don't go in a particular one very often, I figure eventually I will get something
