emmabeckz I shop at Sainsbury too and take advantage of gaining nectar points, not going to happen but wish they would bring back the double up that they used to run every November. I always planned this well and bought Christmas and Birthday gifts for the following year as well as a few bottles of TTD alcohol .
kate1310 If you have the app, you will get 2 lots of offers. One is Nectar prices on things you buy but these prices are only valid in store if you go round with the scanner and use the self checkout. The other is called Sainsbury's offers and these are updated every Friday first thing so check your app and load the offers so if you buy any of these items in store or online, you will get extra points - these are mine but yours will be tailored to what you regularly buy....
kate1310 yep nectar prices are just in store if you use a scanner as you go round called SmartShop and pay at self checkout. You can do a click and collect and can get it free with a £25 spend on certain days
For any orders over £25, for collections booked for Sunday to Wednesday there will be no collection charge, and from Thursday to Saturday, you will be charged 50p. For any orders under £25 there is a charge of £4.
You can get delivery from £1 if you are happy to take a 4 hour slot
Or if you get the delivery pass they do a mid week which is cheaper or an anytime one and if you don’t save money on the pass as opposed to paying for delivery they refund the difference to a voucher for you
emmabeckz that is brilliant it was the delivery pass thing I just saw didn't see anything else about delivery's but that is amazing definitely going to try do a online shop for the weekend will probably have a migraine trying to do it lol first time I did a moonpig card I was there for over 2 hrs was so stressed lol but iam great at that now only takes me 10 mins thank you so much for all your help huni
Jerseydrew hope so fingers crossed all prices are ridiculous thanks for your comment
I really hope we start to see lots of companies lowering prices now. I can't believe how expensive some items have become.
Midnightflower yes I was thinking the exact same its ridiculous they have put pounds on some items just greed thanks for your comment
Midnightflower they won’t do it unless people vote with their wallets. For as long as people pay the overinflated prices they will continue to rise.
SilverSurfer yes I know its ridiculous the amount they put on some items just greed the supermarkets make a fortune thanks for your comment
I quite like Morrisons and its very competitive for some prices and not so competitive for others same as most supermarkets. As I go around Morrisons I see stuff that I know is cheaper at Tesco, Lidl, Asda etc but then I see other items where they are cheaper or the quality is better for the same money. I certainly think Morrisons are worth using and besides unless you are fully signed up for them you won't get voucher offers and when you have a voucher like £15 off £60 then Morrisons are significantly cheaper than the other supermarkets without use of a voucher. Also my Morrisons is quite large so it has a good range of items. I'm not struggling to find items like Iceland, Lidl, Aldi or Farmfoods. I mean petrol costs money so you don't want to be making lots of different trips to different supermarkets as that will cost you much more in additional fuel. I tend to rotate which supermarkets I use mainly dictated by having a voucher for one of the supermarkets. My favourite supermarket is still Tesco though as our local store is huge with a great range including value items and they have many offers. I find it cheaper to shop there overall for the items I buy.
BonzoBanana I do like morrisons food I think it's great quality just a bit expensive wish I could drive I would be going into all the supermarket my partner will only go to morrisons he doesn't like asda and said tesco is more expensive than morrisons i would be round all the supermarkets getting the deals if I could drive lol thanks for your comment
Morrisons put their prices up before any other supermarket, they've had to reduce them to get customers back .
shirleywylde yes I noticed that they have lost a lot of customers so there profits will be down and wanting them back I know a lot who switched to aldi thanks for your comment
shirleywylde Exactly. I went into Morrisons today and deliberately brought the bakery goods with 400 points and 100 points each. My receipt did not show the 500 points added to my Morrisons card. So I went to the customer service desk and got my money back.
I stopped shopping at Morrisons months ago as they were hiking prices up far beyond the inflammation rate. Will not go back to them. Staying with Aldi and Home Bargains.
Having increased so many of their prices it's really good of them to slash prices on just 50 products which is a drop in the ocean....
tumblespots yes I know its not a lot but hopefully they will do it on lots more if they see customers are going back with lower prices
Thanks for posting this article. I’ll go and check my next delivery to see if any the items ordered have decreased in price.
Pjran aw do they I don't have a waitrose ,I have downloaded the sainsburys app going to try do a shop on that then will try other stores I didn't think of ordering it then getting my partner to pick it up am so stupid lol thanks for that need to look into shops who do pick up would be great as he is nightshift and normally goes straight to the supermarket so would save him going about the shop
We do not have a Morrisons near us so have never shopped there. But I thought they were known for being cheaper but obviously not then
sallylester1 they are a bit more expensive for some items but the quality is good my partner won't buy meat from any other supermarket just morrisons and the butchers thanks for your comment
Our local Morrisons used to have a cafe on the top level but I believe it caught fire but fortunately the rest of the actual supermarket was spared. I do like Morrisons so this would be nice plus get points
