Which Streaming Service Is Better: Netflix or YouTube?

hate youtube and all its ads with a passion, i only use it if no other choice for the likes of diy videos, netflix and prime for shows

I’ve exhausted most of Netflix, thanks to binge watching, so atm it‘s Youtube for me, watching lots of travel vlogs and mukbang videos

There are things I watch on both (plus Amazon Prime Video). But I do find that once you've watched all the things you're really interested in seeing on Netflix it gets increasingly harder find content you want to watch. Whereas, I find Amazon Prime has greater depth of content. YouTube is good for out of print/ harder to see films, documentaries, etc.

I switch between both. My mood changes. Not watched something on Netflix for a few weeks now. Nothing really interests me. I've watched most of them anyway

YouTube is more exciting because you never know what you're going to get with the vast range of people on there. It's free as well which helps.

Netflix all the way in our house would have been lost without it during lockdown

Probably Youtube.. mainly because you can get carried away from the video you watch at the start and can end up watching a cat washing a car or something

Youtube at the moment for me, I find that there are more documentaries for me to watch on there. I think ive watched all the ones on Netflix.

I prefer Netflix but starting to find it hard to find anything interesting that grabs my attention, I have been watching a lot more on BBC iPlayer.

This was so interesting to watch. Its a video on Youtube where Vice look into using snapchat to rob influencers such as Kim Kardashian.

This one was a good watch for me.

I always only watch Netflix and prime never watched anything on YouTube apart from wee decorating ideas

This may be an old post/chat, but I’d say I prefer YouTube over Netflix previously, and it still applies today

I guess its like any such services they aren't really competing with each other as one is free and one has more up to date commercial films and television programs. I won't pretend I know much about netflix as I've never tried it but have seen cough... a few netflix programs on other streaming services.

I've been enjoying Raised by Wolves recently and that is Sky Atlantic and Now TV I think. So much stuff now is spread out on many different subscription services. So presumably Prime, Netflix, Disney Plus, Paramount etc are all useless services if you want to watch that program.

Youtube and it is free. I watch mostly USA chat shows from the seventies to the 90's and I am amazed what was allowed back then. Also music videos, films, documentaries, etc

Absolutely love netflix for TV series and movies. We get great use out of ours as we have three children who all have accounts and they love it too X

I have Just watched the first series of THE EMPRESS can't wait until the next series comes out definitely worth a watch 5*****

Defo YouTube and it’s ‘raw’ content (I mean a lot is defo dressed up and fancy, but there’s so much on there that is not)

I cancelled my Netflix subscription yesterday. I was struggling to find content I wanted to watch. Although, I do intend to sign up with them again in the future. There are so many different streaming services now I'm planning to jump from one to another every month or so. Starting of with Disney+. I like watching films and documentaries on YouTube.

I watch YouTube more than netflix. My favourite is Fred dibnah series

YouTube all the way. Just way more options that I personally enjoy watching. I like keeping up with technology and gaming news YouTube always gets my vote

I love Netflix so much choice watching orange is the new black at the moment.

YouTube hands down, you just need to know where to look and what search words to use once you've got that down it's way better!

I'm still new to Netflix so I would have to say Youtube my opinion could change soon though lol

If I'm on honest both. I like them for different reasons

I have both aswell as Amazon Prime so never run out of things to watch.

i defo prefer netflix i just find so much on there to watch its well worth the money i think.
