The New Revamped Dr Who Theme Tune, What do you think ?
Ask a Question
I used to be a fan of doctor who when i was younger , but i havent watched it for many years
When i heard they were changing the theme tune ahead of the 60th anniversary of the David Tennant specials i was a bit dubious
But i watched the video in the article and it sounded great, better than the original in my opinion
What do you think of it ?
I posted a twitter link to it below the article

Love it. It's hard to take on something that popular and well known and pull it off but he's cracked it.
MelissaLee1 My opinion too M, its quite emotional listening to the orchestra putting their all into it
I think it's brilliant. I love Dr Who. I watched it as a teenager when Christopher Eccleston was the Dr and I was hooked. Still watch it now. I can't wait till the 60th anniversary episodes.
MrsCraig ...Our daughter & her Da are MASSIVE Whovians, only this weekend she received a special edition of a Newspaper from Reach her Da had sent off for,it's page to page DR WHO!
janphoenix51 I love Dr Who, my husband can't stand it though. That sounds like an awesome newspaper.
I stopped watching it ages, it had gotten too woke for me, after David Tennant left it went down hill big time
I stopped watching after first half of matt Smith though might watch the latest for David love his stuff, all I really want if for the Dr to be ginger
Listened to the new theme on youtube but unless I've got the wrong tune it seems to be the original tune slightly remixed and played by an orchestra. It's pretty good but not a fan of the modern Dr Who. I actually prefer the very early episodes with William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton however I also like the Tom Baker seasons as he was pretty much the Dr when I was a young child. I pretty much went off Dr Who when Peter Davison took over but that was more about the terrible stories and crummy effects than Peter Davison.
I watched the original Dalek story the other day with William Hartnell, still very watchable and nostalgic too. The black and white low res video helps hide a lot of the crummy effects quite well. No idea what has happened with the Daleks in modern Dr Who.
