New Suitcase
Ask a Question
I need a new suitcase. Mine is 25 years old. It's still usable but the wheels are breaking. What brand and style would recommend? Got to big as the one we have is used by 2 people
I have an IT one and I purchased it from Matalan when they have offers on and if you’re lucky they do have sales on with some suitcases. But you can purchase this brand from anywhere really. I have the material one but it’s goods quality material one and still lightweight. But if budget is higher you can go for the Tripp and they also have a sale on now too.
Jerseydrew I do like that brand but way over my budget. My IT one has been to 6 different countries so far and even though it’s a material one it’s the thicker one and so far no damage or got wet.
Jerseydrew that’s lovely gift to have and I bet has lots if happy memories around it too.
I would say in terms of size it is better to get a suitcase that has one big compartment with the zip on the top rather than those suitcases where it has 2 compartments and the zip is in the middle of the two.
I prefer plastic suitcase rather than a material one. Keeps everything dry. One on four sets of wheels is good so you can push it along.
KAW18 ours is material I'm not fussed if it's material or hard I just want it to be good quality
Tripp is a very smart reliable suitcase that I recommend, very strong , four wheeler so much easier to use on your travels.
LL81 yeah mines 2 wheels. Was thinking of getting a 4 wheeler one as I reckon it's easier to move around
Oh wow you have been using your suitcase for 25 years?!! That’s amazing what brand is it? We used to buy them from Debenhams called Antler not sure if anywhere sells them anymore. They last for a very long time. Good chat topic you have made will be useful for us to know!
Yes, too need a new suitcase, my partner & our daughter have new four wheeled ones, so much easier to manoeuvre. I'm forever catching my 2 wheeled wonder & have to stop , point it in the direction I'm taking before setting off on my travels again!
We have material cases, not plastic ones, as I find the plastic ones break too easily. Our cases used to belong to my parents so they are a good twenty years old too. We have samsonite and tripp and both are still going strong. My mum and mother in law usually by theirs from TK Maxx.
