Could This Be the next Big Blockbuster Film ?
Ask a Question
A japanese princess has forfeited her status and fortune to marry a commoner, her college sweetheart
Not only that, she refused a 140 million yen (£893,000) dowry to which she was entitled for leaving , the first japanese royal in history since the war to do this
It must be true love
It may well be true love but she has done the right thing in refusing the money and status because she will at least be sure he is not marrying her for those things.
Thats true L , and i am so surprised that a japanese member of royalty has forfeited everything , they are normally so loyal to their institutions and country, it must have been a huge decision for her
Hollywood might make a Western version. Nowadays, they barely have any originality and creativity.
That would be novel P, imagine, a japanese western
PS just read updated news about them
Mako and her now-husband Kei Komuro have endured years of brutal treatment from the Japanese media about him being a commoner and she has now unleashed her feelings to the press about their treatment
They said they will be moving to the USA
So many similarities between their story and harry and megans
Agreed D, i love anything like this where they rebel against society in the name of passion
The way it is going with andrew, harry, and with the queen becoming ill lately it might well happen S
telmel They all should be abolished and Andrew should be in jail. I'm glad that Mako has stuck up a middle finger to the Japanese royal family.
There are parallels with this and Shrek the Third. In the film Shrek (who is a commoner in the first film) & Fiona decide they don't want to be king & queen. By the end of the film someone else is on the throne and Shrek & Fiona return to their home in the swamp.
