The food processor 3in 1 BN800 is very popular especially preowned on an online auction site, some are selling upwards of £130. However if you sign up for a ninja newsletter they send you a 10% off code (20% if you have a blue light card) bringing the price down to £152. (£134) With that you get a 2 Year guarantee and a 5 years parts replacement . Just something to consider, ordered mine and really looking forward to using it
I bought one for my son last year. They use it most days. We have a cheap Costco one but his Ninja is so much better.
Why is it called ninja?
When I read Ninja Kitchen it makes me think of a Japanese guy dressed as a ninja with his katana.
PhilipMarc It's the same company as 'Shark' vacuum cleaners which has as similar name associated with violence that makes it sound cool. The US company typically re-designs/improves Chinese products from Chinese factories and puts a huge markup on them. One of their products the dual tray air fryer is pretty much identical to more generic air fryers from the same factory but other products get a more serious re-design. So often they function better but still have a similar failure rate to the original products they are based on as based on the same components. I personally wouldn't pay the Ninja brand premium but obviously many do.
Don't many appliances come with a 2 year warranty anyway? It's standard in the EU and something we adopted I thought. As for 5 year parts only cover they are typically useless warranties as the labour charges are ridiculous. I remember having a Hotpoint appliance in the past with a 5 year parts warranty and the minimum they would charge was £80 for a callout and got a quote from a local repairer for £35 including the part as it was a very simple repair.
