Are You a Nose Plucker or Trimmer ?

Ask a Question

We all suffer overgrown nose hair at some point , and whether it is peeking out below the nostrils or just causing an irritation something needs to be done about it

You normally have two choices, trim it or pluck it

But according to this article you should not be plucking the hairs , well at least not all

They are there for a reason, they stop dust and bacteria from entering your nasal passage and in extreme cases removing the hair can give free passage to these germs and bacteria to reach the brain, and affecting those more with a repressed immune system

Maybe we should embrace it, let the hair grow and let it become a new fashion, maybe braiding , bleaching or dying it ?

The big question is are you a plucker or a trimmer and will you change after reading this ?

Fortunately I don't have much bother with nose hair.I think it's probably more a man thing.I do have a rather unsavoury but effective habit of massaging inside and out with oil .I sometimes sniff and blow a little salt water in and out. When no one else is looking of course. Image

Must admit I just pull them out when I know they are there, I'm constantly picking my nose, it's a bad habit

martinlufc5637 I'm reminded of the poem

The boy stood on the burning deck.Picking his nose like mad.

He rolled it up in little balls and flicked it at his dad.

Bogies just don't taste like they use to pre covid lol.

MelissaLee1 my old dad used to say: Pick it, Lick it, Roll it, Flick it.

He also lost his index finger in an accident and would tease kiddies by putting the stump to his nostril and say you mustn't pick your nose or your finger will get stuck like mine!

I have a colleague who decided that to end nasal hair embarrassment he would have it waxed. We all said don't do it but he was brave and macho..... Let's just say he will never be repeating the procedure. He cried and cried
