What Can Lead People to Commit Such Cruel Acts?

In the News

Drug addicts will go to any lengths to feed their habit

When a post office in Ireland refused to give his uncles pension payment to him , they said he needed to collect it in person, the nephew and a friend, also an addict lifted him out of bed and dragged him there by his feet

They got to the post office, which was just down the road and once inside the nephew said to the teller ‘He’s here now, to collect his pension.’, but it was suspected he died at that moment and the nephew blamed the post office

Even worse they just left him lying on the floor

They were jailed for 2 years and 18 months respectively last year

How can two people be so callous to someone so old and so ill ?

TheChimp yes you're right, but it shouldn't be. Visitors should be separated by glass and drug finding dogs should have to check staff too

It is disgusting, i used to work in drug recovery and i met some addicts who had a very strong moral compass so it’s not all addicts.

I remember reading this unbelievable story. These shameless drug addicts jailed for only 2 years!!! and 18 months each!!! They both should have being given at least 10 years each minimum. Neither can be reformed.

It beggars belief, I am a great believer in karma so hopefully once he is off the drugs he suffers remorse for his actions.

I personally don’t think that’s a long enough sentence. I am so against drugs, I hate them. And people taking them are so so selfless.

Trauma can be a reason for why a person behaves in awful ways. It's not right. I see kids at work behave in awful ways some we know where they are headed which is awful. When you've kids not given boundaries and parents that don't have the skills to parent better kids go wild. Trauma can be anything that a person finds traumatic. Some of those that fall into drugs is because they weren't given the chance to risk take as kids so get offered a type of drug and it leads to others. Not everyone.

I'm not giving anyone the green light to behave in a disgusting way but there's always a reason for behaviour.
