Official Painted Portrait of King Charles lll
Other
The first official painted portrait of King Charles III since his coronation has been unveiled at Buckingham Palace.
its grown on me to be fair. It does look like him. Nice to see him go with something a bit different
It looks like he's on fire. I find the picture is kinda creepy. I wonder what the king thinks about it
I think that the red is really odd and I wonder what it is supposed to signify. The best bit is Charles' face which looks just about right.I don't think her late Majesty would have approved of this portrait.Bottom line is, I think it is awful apart from the face.
It's horrible, and the worst thing is we have probably paid for it, reminds me of max head room with his head just showing
Did the artist get a special deal on red paint or ordered the wrong amount. Art is in the eye of the beholder, some people will love it.
It's awful. It looks like he's standing in the depths of hell. Fitting some might say.
It would have been so much better with a different colour background.
Oh my Oh my Oh my. As an artistic person I can appreciate the hands and facial work but the rest of it I can not condone. It makes me think of blood, not blue blood, just blood. I am unable to feel warmth from the image regardless of the red hues. I wish the artist could explain what he was trying to achieve as it does not convey any positivity. Poor Charles.
It definitely looks like him but there is a little too much red in the painting for me. As long as the King likes it then what is what counts.
It kind of reminds me of that painting in ghost busters 2 that has the main villain in.
I’m sure I remember reading this cost like 8 million as well or something which is a travesty
