Can you all suggest some old and good block buster movies to watch over this weekend. Thriller, comedy.etc
How about " Eye Of The Needle " starring Donald Sutherland. A Thriller about a German Spy In and around the UK. Good film too.
Can you give more info please. If you are young 80s and 90s will be old but if you are as old as me you could mean 40s and 50s films. Fave stars, genre, black and white, colour?
The John Wayne Westerns are good, plus there are loads of them to pick from. Depends who old you want the films to be. You could try the classics with Audrey Hepburn, Fred Astaire. I love Its a wonderful life, although most people would watch that at Christmas time.
The towering inferno 12 angry men Day of the jackle spartacus one flew over the cookoos nest midnight cowboy goodfellas donnie brasco The thing...some of my personal favourites.
What about crossroads 1986, a really thought provoking drama, a guitar student (Ralph Macchio) tours the Deep South with an old blues man (Joe Seneca), chasing a lost song written by Robert Johnson.
Dead Man's Shoes. Not a Blockbuster, but a great Shane Meadows film.
Not a horror, but not for the faint hearted though.
I was talking with my grown up son the other day and he had never seen the Matrix, great film. Ditto Pulp Fiction.
Se7en (1995) starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. Alternately, Léon (1994) starring
Jean Reno, Gary Oldman and Natalie Portman
Classic blockbuster movies I can think of are Jaws, Star Wars, Aliens etc but then my mindset is skewed more towards science fiction.

Personally I hated ET I thought the movie was complete garbage and highly irritating and that comes in at number 1. I haven't watched the original Beverley Hills Cop for a long time. I'd sort of forgotten about it.
Not sure when you say old, how old you mean but here a few
Fight Club, Con Air, Terminator 2, Die Hard with a Vengeance.
