tara73ziva Me (and ex) had labs, 1st went at 15yrs and 3rd just short of 16 were chocolate and were lovely natured, son used 1st as a baby walker and horse. 2nd was black 12 yrs and had no personality whatsoever! Mixed in was also a border terrier 14 yrs who thought she was a cat until meeting another dog.

Unfortunately I recently lost my last dog, she was black Labrador and died at twelve. I have a cat who will be five this month. I also have a chinchilla, I have no idea how old he is as I adopted him from pets at home but I have had him many years.

AliceBell64468 aww they are gorgeous lovely names thanks for commenting its great seeing everyone's photos
kate1310 aww your two are beautiful! I really want a little one to add to our collection lol
I won't bore you with my long list I'll mention our eldest 3.
Our eldest is a turtle at 11 years old, we've had her since she was a baby.
Our rabbits are both taken in from different situations, at different ages, we bonded them and they've been partners for years, they are now 8 & 9 years old.
kate1310 Weβre βdown toβ 11 now
This includes reptiles, rodents, invertebrates and more. We donβt count the fish, the clean up crew or my partners ant colony though
I am very passionate about rabbits and hamsters in particular, I used to foster them too. The reason most people donβt usually enjoy them though is they donβt give them enough space and other things they need, they are actually more complex than people realise. I certainly wouldnβt recommend either as childrenβs pets. But of course parents should never put full responsibility on to them and I believe even if a child gets βboredβ of their pet, they should be taught it is a living creature, part of the family and you canβt just rehome them to get something different.
I actually think a giant millipede is much more suitable, although I adored my hamsters when I finally managed to have some as a child
I longed for pets for so long, I think when I moved out, I couldnβt help myself and itβs been non-stop. We are taking a break from taking on anymore at the moment though, need to focus on health and other things, but some of ours will be with us a whole lot longer yet.
I couldnβt see my life without any animals, my niece is a little Dolittle too much to my sisterβs annoyance haha.
DeBunny omg are yous lol iam bad enough with just 2 dogs lol my partner wants a reptile but I keep saying we don't have room for a big glass cage lol aww did you foster animals that would be absolutely amazing I have a garden full of dead hamsters yes a lot of kids want pets then get bored and the parents give them away I could never do that hope your health gets better
About six months, not real my pet as my daughter got him to improve her responsibilities understanding. I am in charge of litter box sanitation and food Procurement.
Our stanlee is 3 he is a cheeky Chappell dog full of beans and full of love in equal amounts x
SaveMeSunday my girls are so cheeky but want cuddles all the time they won't go out for the toilet until I rub there tummy it was ok when it was just the 1 but now the both of them do it as soon as you say are you going for a pee they both roll over onto there back wee cuties
Pinkspirit aww so pretty my wee girls face is getting really white these last few weeks hate seeing her get older
kate1310 l totally agree, we want them to stay younger for longer as they are not around long enough, my four paws was fox red but also has all four paws grey now, young children often ask 'is she wearing boots'. She may have a sugar face but will always be my baby
Pinkspirit my wee leynas paws are white now she was red in colour also but I notice a bug difference in her colour she's getting so white I just want her to be with me forever my wee furbabys
my baby, she's 20, starting to show he age abit now bless her, her son and daughter both passed away last year both 17
slightfoot omg is she 20 shes a wee cutie thats a brilliant age aw were they 17 thats a great age hopefully I will be celebrating my girls birthday when they are 20
kate1310 yes she has done really well but she has a few health issues now, they can't be fixed without surgery which she can't have due to her age and heart murmur, soo it's a case of making her comfy, plenty of treats and cuddles untill they time comes, probly a few months at best xxxx
slightfoot omg thats so sad big hugs must be terrible for you my wee leyna has a slight heart murmur hopefully hopefully nothing comes of it give her an extra big hug from me take care x
kate1310 they break our hearts in the end, but she's had a great life, and she's living her last few months like a little queen, fish, chicken and treats on tap, heated blanket and loads of fuss and cuddles. The heart murmur is only a problem now because she is sooo old, her son lived with a heart murmur from birth and it never caused him any problems, so I'm sure your little furbaby will be ok xxxxx
