He fell from a hotel balcony, but why? Did he slip, take drugs, had a heart attack?
People don't just fall off hotel balconies. I sure wouldn't.
PhilipMarc reports I’ve read are saying he was heavily intoxicated with drink and drugs, how true it is I don’t know
thepaxman One or the other is plausible. No one just falls from it.
Dude was three years younger than I am.
RIP.
PhilipMarc I heard the 911 call from the hotel to the police on sky news earlier, they were saying he's high on drugs and alcohol and is smashing up the room
martinlufc5637 Drugs and/or booze do make people do crazy stuff. I've never really taken drugs, but in the past I'd drink a lot of beer and wine with my neighbor when abroad... That won't happen again.
PhilipMarc I guess we will never know why he did it or what happened, report's say he sacked his manager and promo team ect.. a few weeks ago, he was out there with his girlfriend on holiday and she left a few days ago , did he jump or have superman instincts with being high
martinlufc5637 Sounds like he was going through hard times.
Maybe he didn't meant to commit suicide, but ended up dying due to the drugs or whatever. RIP.
Very sad. I wonder if accident as some foreign balconies can be unsafe. On the other hand a medical episode? From this morning programme when they talked about it he seemed happy so probably not intentional.
This is so sad, he’s so so young.
I wonder if it will come out what happened and why.
His poor family and son, my thoughts are with them all
My daughter likes one direction we've seen liam live. Seen niall recently in Manchester. She coming home from uni later hope she not too upset
Really sad news I feel for his son to be honest yes he had some issues but his son is gonna be heartbroken
It is a shame for someone so young who seemingly had everything most people could ever want.
A friend messaged me the breaking news link (not a fan but like news) and I turned on Sky News. The male presenter (over live images of the hotel) said "did he fall? Did he jump? Was he pushed?"
I thought that was a bit low.
Sad when anyone dies but especially when so young.Fame certainly doesn't buy happiness or peace of mind. The hotel room was trashed so obviously a bit of a set to before he died.Inevitably drink and drugs involved as well.
I'd never heard of him myself and I put that down to not having a TV licence for maybe around 7 years now and being completely disinterested mainly in modern mainstream music but I do question the praise he is getting for being nice like many who die who suddenly become saints when they die. It sounds like he wrecked the hotel room which to me is not a nice person at all, someone who expects the world to put up with their problems and their issues and makes the lives of others more difficult.
I know a woman who was sacked because while on her watch some young adults wrecked a hotel room where she worked and was held responsible. She couldn't intervene and the police didn't come out when called and yet sacked, they claimed she shouldn't have let them in, but they had paid for the hotel room and it was not explained why she shouldn't have let them in. She hadn't been working there that long so was just sacked. Will the hotel try to get the money for the damage off the estate of this pop star or will they claim against their insurance causing higher insurance costs later which must be added to hotel room rates for everyone? He actually sounded like a pretty vile individual to me and criminal scum causing damage to other people's property. I'm sure if you came home and found someone had broken in and wrecked your house but then slipped over and died in the process you wouldn't praise that person even if a pop star. How many other incidents were there that other people had to put up with and pay for previous to this?
