Ooooh Ducky, Chase Me!!!

Other

Rubber Duck Race in Aspen Colarado with thousands of the little yellow ducks racing down the Fork River. The winning duck is the first past the finish line at Rio Grande Park. The fundraiser happens every year with the money going to good causes. Do you see this as great fun as it certainly put a smile on my face or just another boring gimmick? uk.news.yahoo.com/thousands-rubber-ducks-float-downstream-161312623.html Image

I’ve seen pictures from this before and it looks like a lot of fun to me. The fact it’s all for a good cause as well makes it even better.

didbygraham That's brilliant news,I had no idea it was happening in England too. Might have to have a weekend away to coincide with a duck race 😁

We have a local duck race every year near where I live. I have been a few times, great for the village. My adult daughter went this year and won a race.

The duck race is held in Kent, if you are near that location I can add so more details for you. Like you say not keen on sharing too much on here.

eyeballkerry Thanks, I have a sister in Canterbury. I will ask her, not that's it's her sort of thing as she's more into rock gigs but I'm sure she could find out for me. Thankyou Eyeballkerry 😄

EmmaWright762 Its about 31 miles away which would be about 45 minutes in the car. Probably not worth it for a duck race.

eyeballkerry I don't need much of an excuse to visit Kent. I love Hever and Leeds castles and have a soft spot for Chiddingstone too. The Rochester Christmas festival has been great on numerous occassions. As for villages I would opt for Goudhurst or Yalding as my favourites.

In Sheffield we used to have the Duck Race as part of our outdoor event Cliffhanger at Millhouses Park,Cliffhanger moved to Sheffield city centre & now there's a Duck Race at Endcliffe Park..

Millhouses & Endcliffe parks are beautiful parks in our leafier suburbs..
