Can We Opt for Our Amazon Vouchers Be Donated to Charity ?
Ask a Question
I have absolutely no interest in gaining vouchers for posting deals, vouchers or commenting . I believe that ruins the ethos of a "deals" site . We should be helping each other by posting only great deals , giving advice or enjoying chat .
Of course it should be optional , there are obviously those who post solely for the points (and it shows !) but others could opt to have any vouchers accumulated be donated to charity ?
Probably to difficult for a personal preference , but I assume Latest Deals has it's own preferred charities that we could choose from ?
Thanks for the topic I love to donate my Amazon vouchers if there’s system hope someone Will definitely reply to you in this topic as your a newbie I appreciate your thoughts
I certainly don't post for the points. If I see deals and comps etc then I will post them but not the reason I use the site. That being said there have been some times when that £50 Amazon voucher has really helped us out. It meant we would get something that was essential and that £50 could go towards something else. I don't judge those who post purely for the points as they might really need the money. I personally wouldn't donate my voucher as it could really help me out but wouldn't object to there being the option.
Hi intherealworld that's a lovely gesture. Latest Deals has supported many charities over the years including Save The Children, British Heart Foundation, Trees For The Future and more. Whilst we wouldn't be able to change our systems to allow for financial payments to be made, you could claim your Amazon voucher and reach out to a charity of your choice and donate it to them.
Tom it’s amazing you have supported so many charities - I had no idea until you posted. Keep up the good work
I didn’t believe you can donate your voucher, i thought it is only to go to your account how is it possible to donate? This would be useful to know can a forward email be accepted?
I don't trust any charities and there is quite a long chat topic about it. I certainly have my reasons and prefer to give where I know my money and time is being used. I am currently buying 2 dozen Xmas gifts and wrapping for the age UK club I attend and I do my talks for free (£40 is the going rate). I am not saying this to brag or show off but I am a pensioner and the vouchers can help me to buy those gifts without charity bigwigs taking their cut. Of course that is my choice and I applaud those who would like to donate theirs to charity. Maybe buying stuff for a food bank with the voucher would be a good idea.
You could buy some useful things from Amazon and gift them to a food bank or local school for fund raising.
