Do you pay for a Garden Waste Collection? 
For most, it's included in your council tax bill but some places charge separately for it. Cheshire West and Cheshire council charge £40 for a fortnightly collection over 40 weeks of the year.
I pay in the form of having to buy a roll of sacks that are compostible. They are over £11 for a roll of 10 but luckily my garden only has a border and some pots so not too much in the way of clippings and prunings. However, to buy a bin (£30+) and the yearly fee (£82) makes it very expensive so glad my garden is small.
SamGoodship no sorry I wasn't clear. You can leave the bags out for free collection on bin day. I don't have much green waste but I still think £11 is dear for 10 bags. If you buy a bin you pay the £82 to have it emptied weekly.
Ours used to be free but this year they have introduced a fee for the whole summer period. Its not cheap, Might be worth while if we had a bigger garden. Wont say how we now get rid of the grass cuttings as the council wont like it!
Our is included in our council tax, a large green bin that throughout the season is collected once a fortnight. Apart from at the start of the season my bin is usually only about a 1/3 full each collection mainly grass clippings
Mango4 We don't have a big garden but it easily gets filled once a fortnight with grass clippings from the front and back and pruning the few bushes.
We're charged £36 a year per bin which unlike our recycling bins I have 2 huge 1's and with our garden waste we compost it.
Ours is £35 a year and gets emptied every 2 weeks. Our food waste and garden waste goes into the same bin.
MrsCraig We have a big wheelie bin for the garden and a small brown bin for the food waste
Canterbury council charges extra for this. Probably fair as people who live in homes with no garden shouldn't have to subsidise the service.
davewalsh126 That's why ours charges for it now, not everyone has a garden and some have a communal one.
We did have one free green bin for garden waste, and I paid £41 a year for an extra green bin, as we have a big garden, but now, this year, that £41 has gone up to £52 per year, and the council is also charging us £52 for the bin we originally had free, not impressed!
We get two green waste bins without any additional charge. The council tax is higher than it should be, no idea how they justify different levels in different areas.
We get charged around £36 that's separate from the council tax

nina090976 Ours don't require bags to be used, just straight into the green bin
£60 a year for us, luckily that they take vegan/herbivore animal's waste as garden waste, as if we take it to the recycling centre (nearest is around 40 minutes away, that we are allowed to use) they put it in general waste, as garden waste is only for plant/clippings. So I'd feel bad putting waste from rabbits and guinea pigs in the general waste, when it can be recycled. We do have a compost bin and often had people from the allotments taking the waste (hay, straw and poop) to use for their patches.
DeBunny That's helpful. I have rabbits and a guinea pig and have to take their waste to the tip (it's less than 10 minutes away). We aren't able to put it in the garden waste bin but that gets full with the garden waste anyway so we don't mind having to take it to the tip.
I use to pay extra for a garden bin separate from council tax. But then most of the collections was in winter so couldn't really use it. So instead we burn it in a big metal container. It's the only way to get rid of it.

SamGoodship ours is just a small box not much bigger than a supermarket basket. I remember when it was first offered it was £40 but expect it’s gone up. We don’t have wheelie bins either.
We have to buy the bin first, when we bought ours it cost £25 but I think this has increased since then. You are then charged £50 per year to have it emptied 21 times over the course of the year.
A rip off if ever there was one!
tumblespots You have to buy the bin too here, but one was already with the house when we moved in.
We are lucky as we have artificial grass so the little bit of weeding from the slabs doesnt require a garden bin. ive seen the price has gone up.
We do if you want it have to pay an additional fee for this. I have not looked for sometime though. But may have to consider it as there is a bit to get rid of
