Perfumes That Give You Nostalgia?
Ask a Question
With the return of iconic 90s scents like Tommy Girl and CK1 flying off the shelves, it’s got us thinking—what fragrances take you on a trip down memory lane?
Did you have a go-to scent back in the day?
I remember Charlie as a teenager. Still around now but don’t use it now, not sure if the same.
None but loved exclamation back in the 90s and body shop was highly trendy. Vanilla or something.
Love a perfume advert though.
Jerseydrew yup lol
One I used all the time in the 90's was Kouros, it was quite expensive, I use to get it from duty free, from memory it smelt really nice, I haven't used it in years
dawarwick you knew when someone had been on holiday when they came back smelling of kouros lol
martinlufc5637 OMG I used to love the smell of Kouros. It has bitter sweet memories for me now as my friend who used to wear it is no longer with us
My personal scent back in the day was Giorgio Red.
I do like the Giorgio Armaini Si apart from its price
I've just purchased a bottle of Issey miyake eau d issey. It reminds me of a holiday.
Karl Lagerfeld Sun moon stars. I loved it when younger. sadly it was discontinued some time ago. Later I moved onto Elizabeth Arden sunflowers. I still wear that in Summer sometimes now, it reminds me of a particular Summer in my youth that I think back on fondly. My absolute favourite was The body shop Ananya perfume, never found anything similar.
I love perfume so I have a few haha, I loved Body Shop, White Musk, Ananya and Dewberry, also Exclamation was a definite favourite and recently bought myself some, it takes me right back! Lou Lou, Tribe, Smitty, Monsoon, Avon Far and Away or Rare Gold, then my going out perfume was always Guerlain Samsara, I wore that for years! I was also a bit partial to some mens smells too, Lynx Oriental, Paco Rabanne and Jazz during my early teens... those were the days eh
ElizabethRuss I was dating a guy who had tried a squirt of jazz hours before. Basically nipped into our house to grab something and out again. Could smell it in the house until bedtime.
Not so much perfume but I love the smell of Badidas or anything with coconut and pineapple.
Vanderbilt perfume was my favourite years ago. Actually found it in a shop in Spain last year. It smells exactly the same
mudgesheila50 ...A training scheme friend back in the 80's wore Lou Lou, she must have doused herself in it as I always had headache & felt sick after I had been out with her!
Jeunesse ( blue) plus chic (red) impulse, staples in school. Beautiful, samsara, lou lou, eternity, red door ( cant stand now) shalimar, yohji yamamoto, emporio armani, ysatis, 1881, boss deep red. And many more, ( had daytime, going out and summer /"winter choices) one whiff and I'm back in the 80s/ 90s. Oh and Jazz, cool water, Fahrenheit, joop for men. At school it was insignia, brut and lynx.
Anybargains lynx oriental was my fave . A boy I fancied used to wear it and it was on his scarf I used to borrow off him lol
EmmaJohnson253 mine too still got a tiny bit left from when they brought it back for a few years
I used to love the so perfume. I got it a few times as a gift and it was always well received
I used to like Anias Anias when it first came out then I got asked 1 Christmas by a customer for some of that Anxs Anxs perfume, I went off it then. My memory perfume is Cinema. I've worn it to many memorable times.
My all time fave was Coty Tribe , it was brought back for a few years then went again . Also Avon Casbah and Avon Rare Rubies
My absolute favourite perfume was Gloria by Cacharel , I adored this perfume & got soooo many compliments...
Gloria was discontinued years ago but I still have my half bottle after my partner finding some online, thanks to the Dr's lovely late wife Angie who I used to clean for , she researched & told me where to buy it.
Angie became a good friend, unfortunately passed in 2017, I still have my memories of her & this gorgeous perfume she helped my partner find again..
Angie Vennalls RIP..
I used to like le Jardin years ago, my younger sister was obsessed by Obsession which I also like..
