How to Post a Good Deal on the Platform?
Money Saving
I though I would post a chat topic about this subject as too often I see very bad deals here and I do believe people could post better deals.
If I missed something please add your own ideas of savings.
1) If you post deals from Amazon you can always check the price and fluctuations at sites like:
- CAMELCAMELCAMEL uk.camelcamelcamel.com/
You paste link to the search bar and you will see below.
Scroll down and you will see chart and price fluctuations
If you create an account then you will be able to track the price and receive an emails with price drops.
2) KEEPA keepa.com/#!
- You must select amazon.co.uk/ .uk from drop down menu on the right
- In search you paste the link from Amazon and you will see chart similar to one from below.
You can select range as All and you will see price fluctuations for all the time it was available on Amazon.
3) You can always add item to the basket at Amazon and then choose save for later and every price drop you will see as soon as you open the basket
4) If you want to compare groceries prices you can use:
- Just type the product's name and you will see where is the cheapest.
- Cash back and coupons, no hunting needed.
Receive cash back offers and coupon codes as you browse online. Our shopping extension automatically searches for you. Then, applies the best ones it can find at checkout.
6) Dealfinder by Vouchercodes
- https://www.vouchercodes.co.uk/dealfinder
- Never search for a discount code again
- DealFinder makes it easy to save money when you're shopping online by finding the best deals for you.
- google.co.uk/ and check prices there as well.
Shopping tab can be access from the link below
These are really useful thank you, as like you say sometimes although it may have a big % from RRP its not always the best deal.
HannahSunderlan Yes, it's annoying people just spam. It takes 30 seconds before posting a deal to check prices elsewhere, yet people don't care. Why they waste their time to post. I think it's the LD approach to reward people for anything, and unfortunately people are abusing their generosity.
Too much to read and digest but a deal today had us believe that a bottle of cordial (squash) was a deal at £4 and the original price was over £24. This was on Amazon. So ludicrous as it is £4 or less currently in all supermarkets! How, in anyone's wildest dreams could this be a deal?
Lynibis I saw it last night, perhaps it was a mistake as that was most likely the price for a 6 pack but a quick google search will show the price in other shops. That person also likes to change the titles of posted deals and repost same products over and over again, every 2 weeks or so.
In all fairness most if not all those people tasked to find best deals on the internet just steal each others deals by expiring and reposting. This comment will be removed as they don't like any form of criticism, but better here than on tp, I guess
Wow thank you so much for this topic seems helpful I’ll read and check later once again thanks for taking time and posting
Hi thanks for the detailed post. I fixed most of the formatting for you.
A reminder Latest Deals itself has a free Browser Extension that shows vouchers and deals for every retailer. It actually has the most hand-tested codes out of all competitors. It is also unique that it shows deals too.
Latest Deals also has a built-in price comparison tool - powered by Idealo! Simply search for any product and you'll see price comparison results at the top.
Latest Deals also has a free supermarket price comparison tool in the Latest Deals app. The Latest Deals tool is the only one on the market to have real-time prices. All other tools, including Trolley, have cached prices meaning they can be out of date.
We used to have price history graphs on every Amazon deal but unfortunately Amazon ordered us to remove them.
