Postal Entries
Ask a Question
I was just wondering if many people enter via post? If so do you just get some envelopes and stamps or maybe a postcard?
I used to collect postcards so have quite a few left.I also cut up boxes on occassion and use those.Sometimes I buy them from charity shops and Bootsales as well if i can do a deal.I do quite a few competitions online but don't win nearly as many as when I do them by post. Not mad on IG comps.
MelissaLee1 oh wow so you tend to win more by post? I've always though post was such a long shot but I may have to invest in some 2nd class stamps. Thanks for the reply
pacomping I cannot find any easy to enter postal competitions (except for Chat, etc magazines).
Years ago, magazines, newspapers especially the local one had loads of competitions to enter. And I was always winning something almost every month. I have loads of stamps from ten years ago which I have only recently swapped for the barcoded ones.
My mum used to enter comps via post. The local cinema used to do free postcards of the latest films, so she used to take them for her comps. She only entered the freepost ones, but she won quite a few.
I never enter postal comps stamps are too expensive. I also have trust issues as to whether they just chuck them away, surely it would take too much time to put all the info online. I guess if postal entry is the only method it would be fair as just picking out a random entry.
I find that it's cheaper sometimes to enter by post. we found a stash of older stamps after my mil died and recently swapped them free of charge to barcodes ones. It now feels like I am entering for the price of a postcard. Winner
I used to years ago as that was the only way to enter competitions. I can’t remember the last time as everything seems to be online these days
