Do You Prefer Chocolate or Crisps?

Ask a Question

Debate in my house for a movie night is always between chocolate or crisps. Everyone has their different favourites so we try to alternate so everyone has a turn to choose. Are you a chocolate kind of person or a crisps kind of person?

Depends on what it is. I’d probably say chocolate as I like it with a cup of coffee if I’m going to watch a film. Crisps perhaps if you are having general nibbles anyway and need something savoury. Can we have both? 😅

JLouM ...You are exactly like my daughter & I. We are currently watching Long Lost Families with a hot drink, Tae for her & Coffee for me & cracking open the Chocolate she brought from her travels in Sweden & Norway!

We like Crisps for general nibbles too!!

If I'm going all in (not dieting) on movie night than I'm afraid it's both; and probably some Ice cream and Pick'n'Mix thrown in for good measure 😆

I'm a crisp fan but phasing them out and settling with healthier hummus chips now - taste great!

It depends what kind of mood I am in. Usually crisps but occasionally chocolate. I try not to eat too much of either.

Chocolate has always been my weakness but as i've got older I could munch my way through a large sharing packet of crisps no problem...... several times a week.

Both. The key Is to start munching on crisps then finish with the chocolate. No questions asked.

I’m more of a sweetie person, love sweet sucky traditional sweets as well as gummy. I do have a thing for walkers seriously salt n vinegar but not so much of a chocolate person.

I’d say both! 😂. But it’s usually crisps . We are having a movie night on Saturday night with my son and he’s picking the snacks he’s looking forward to it

I would have to say both. What I do prefer is when I am snacking that the pieces are small. I don’t enjoy eating a whole chocolate bar for example but enjoy a dairy milk broken into pieces. Hope that makes sense. Prefer crisps or mini crackers over a snack bar.

Lol 😝 why not both?! Eating crisps is salty then you need something sweet afterwards chocolate 🍫 or candy 🍭 is nice afterwards haha 😆 if not go for fruits 🍎 instead

SueWard I’ve always been milk chocolate fan and so has my brothers, sisters and dad while mum has always been dark chocolate fan. Think cos when we were all young and living at home (7 kids) she got it all to herself but as I’ve got older I’ve started to enjoy bar dark chocolate

For me it’s got to be crisps but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy my chocolate too 😂. If I’m having a bad day probably both. I’ve 4 grandkids and 3 of them would go straight for crisps while the other it’s any kind of chewy sweets, not even chocolate

Jinky67 I prefer to eat them together. Chocolate then crisps, then chocolate, then crisps, and on until finished, but must always end on crisps otherwise it's weird

Jinky67 I get it, I like switching between savoury and sweet - I heard a saying that you can eat forever like this since one taste won't overwhelm/tire you out. I also prefer finishing on savoury last as it can get 'sickeningly sweet' and I don't like overly sweet that much.

Crisps are my favorite. I even like them in sandwiches especially Frazzles and cheese spread or grated Cheddar. I never get bought crisps as a birthday present would prefer this. People buy me loads of chocolate which I do like chocolate but only eat small amounts so takes ages to eat a box of chocolates.

I like both, but chocolate will always come first. Although, sometimes you don't have to choose. Every now and again a company will combine both, for example Lay's Wavy Milk Chocolate Covered Potato Chips - Image

Or, around a decade ago Tayto released a limited edition milk chocolate bar with cheese & onion crisps. Which was quite tasty. I hope they'll release it again -
