If you were Queen or King how would you celebrate your birthdays? and how many people would you invite to your birthdays?.
Id just make it a bank holiday and let people enjoy themselves with a day off doing what they want.
I'd have festivals all over the country for everyone to enjoy and spend time together. With lots of music and drinks.
Midnightflower I'd leave my tea,cat and cake for a day to lay in the long grass at a good folk festival.

I would look forward to The Queen is given a single payment by the government every year called the Sovereign Grant.
Last year this was set at £85.9m - the equivalent of £1.29 per person in the UK.
I would buy a slap up meal for family and friends to enjoy, no speeches, no paparazzi and no hangers on.
I would do what I do now, have a nice dinner with my husband, son and parents. I haven't celebrated my birthday in years and I share a cake with my son, no point buying 2 when they are so close.
Lynibis I share the same birthday as my first grandchild and agree with you it’s the best present I could ever have asked for. I forget it’s my birthday now 
I would have that one day free of royal duties and spend the whole day having quality time with my close family.
I would sack the prime minister then declare the end of the monarchy and distribute my wealth to people in need.
Howmuch While not a royalist , by any means , I would ask if the poster of the comment would be willing to put all the hours the "Royals " do ? - wouldn't fancy it myself - It's easy to be critical isn't it ?
Howmuch Fair enough , lack of comprehension is a wonderful thing ? for critics ? Could open a new discussion for those who don't know the facts - Or those who don't wish to acquaint themselves with the facts ?
Easy to criticise - I'm not a fan to be fair - but I wouldn't do it for all the tea in china -each to their own perhaps ?

I do enjoy learning new objective facts but find the weight of the knowledge can have a depressive result.
