Do You Remember Blue Nun ?

Ask a Question

I was just listening to Joni Mitchell and one of the lyrics mentioned drinking German wine and it brought back memories of drinking Blue Nun in the early 90s, it was as popular as pinot is now.😀

😀

I dont remember if we drunk it because it was cheap, or because it was in vogue, but some good nights, but I think that may be due more to the company than the wine.😀

But I cant remember the last time I bought German wine, do you drink it and if so what would you recommend. I like dry wines

Yes I used to drink Blue Nun and Mateus Rose back in the day. My taste buds have changed and now love New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

I am afraid to admit I was wooed on blue nun, we thought it was so sophisticated ha ha ha.

Remember also Black Tower wine.

I recall Blue Nun. It was quite nice cold from the fridge but my understanding is they don't sell it in Germany and that it was made for the UK market.

we often had it at home, one of my Mums favourites from what I remember. back then wine with a meal seemed a treat and not as readily available as it is these days. That may have been more down to money at the time though
