Residents' Wheelie Bin Barricade Blocks School Run
Ask a Question
How bad must the school traffic be to take this stand ? They must have thought long and hard before taking this action as they are breaking the law.
I don't think I would have taken this action as the gate has only been open to help with Covid.
What about you
My mates neighbours done this down their road to stop people parking. Even though everyone of them had off road parking.
They didn’t like others parking outside their own homes. Despite it being a public rd.
I know that’s different but it reminded me of how much people don’t think and don’t care
I can understand it having lived on a road with a school at the bottom - it was a complete nightmare with many parents parking where they liked and getting very abusive if you ask them to move - even when parked right across your driveway. Many of those getting picked up lived within easy walking distance which just made it even worse.
I have never lived by a school, but I know that my son's school used to have posters up to ask parents not to park on the road. I used to park at home and just walked to the school as it wasn't worth even trying to park.
I probably wouldn't do this myself but I can certainly understand their frustration. Unfortunately a lot of parents on the school run park in places they shouldn't, and don't seem to care that they are causing problems for the residents, which is what seems to be happening here. People who live on this road are being blocked in by parents parking in front of their homes, and that's not acceptable. I don't know that this was the best course of action though, but I guess they felt like they needed to take a stand.
I dunno about this one as I don't drive myself but when I take my daughter to school they park anywhere and there has been some arguments I see it as if you buy a house near a school its gonna happen
Blocking a public highway with bins. What muppets. If you are a road tax payer then you have a right to drive up and down the road all day if you want.
