I have posted this in one of my deals however, I think this is a great topic for discussion.
My personal recipe:
Grab some Aldi french fries (79p) and put them for 180C Degrees for about 15 minutes and once done pull the handle slightly and let it air out.
Then, in a bowl, I put hot paprika, garlic and Himalayan salt. I put the chips in it and add some malt vinegar. The malt vinegar not only adds a pleasant tast but it allows the spices to stick to the chips. Once added, I put more hot paprika, salt and garlic. Then I flip the food as if I am flipping food on a pan.
Grab a fork and go.

To those of you not sure whether you should purchase one Air Fryer, I think it's a great investment. I am a quick cook, I don't like elaborate dishes or taking too long to cook. Also, I try to minimise the amount of bad calories I get and frying chips is not something I am willing to do. So the air fryer comes in handy, it's easy to cook, to clean and I use no oil or barely any. With chips I don't use any, with chicken I spray any of the oils I have.
I posted some deals so far about air fryers and in some I explain my rationale to which one to get.
P.S.-Sorry about any grammar/spelling errors
Apart from using it for corn on the cob & halloumi, Our air fryer has hardly had much use. So I'm interested in peoples suggestions too.
Susana I tried cooking some chicken fillets in it, but I thought it left the chicken dry. Poss I just over cooked it the first time tho.
Glitterandgold Were you following any recipe? Which temperature and time did you use? And how many watts does your air fryer have?
15 minutes seems a long time to cook a few chips.
Do they come out the same as if you deep fried them? I doubt it very much.
I would wager they are equally good. Best I can do for you is next time I do some, I comment with thread at least with a picture.
We don’t have a microwave and use the air fryer mostly to warm up some food, instead of warming up in a oven i do it in at fryer lol , also use it for frozen chips , otherwise I found it useless to be fair .I love my food to be cooked from the scratch and when I made fish fingers They were very dry , frying on the pan is much better taster
