Hard to know if this is real or not, if you read the article there is a video, but it's a tick-tock video, could be someone playing games for views ect....
Thames is hugely polluted so if it is a shark then it's not doing itself any favours by swimming there. We are seeing more and more sharks in UK waters as sea temperatures increase.
Although the Thames is highly poluted by nefarious water companies there has been an increase in species throughout the Thames Estury in recent years. A diversity of unexpected sealife including dolphins, sharks etc.
Just when I was thinking about having a dunk lol.There's more than one apparently. Five species in the Thames estuary..most are small I guess. 
Even if it is real, I'm not worries as I've no plans to go for a swim in the thames anytime soon.. have you seen the colour of the water
