Sharks High on Cocaine

In the News

People are taking so much cocaine that it’s spilling out into the ocean and dosing up sharks by passing it on through sewage. There are fears that this will make them more aggressive and likely to attack humans. Do you find this credible or perhaps you have a different theory?metro.co.uk/2024/07/23/sharks-high-cocaine-drugs-flushed-loo-21277939/?ico=mosaic_weird

Seems fairly far fetched to me, more likely it’s because we are overfishing or encroaching more on the sharks territory.

I know there was a news story about a bear high on cocaine or something but i find the story you posted jumped the shark 🤣

I don't find it too far fetched E, there is so much of the drug flushed away from peoples toilets now i can believe it is affecting marine life, maybe its not just the drug , but a combination of microplastics, oil, and other agricultural and factory chemicals with it that are combining to make a toxic mix being absorbed by fish and causing them to be confused and aggressive

I can believe it. It's powder so some will end up down the toilet. Humans need to stop thinking of only themselves and think of what we are doing to wildlife

Wasn't there a scare a few years ago about the amount of oestrogen finding its way into the waters, this is just an updated scare I think

This sounds like the Title (and plot) of a low budget sci-fi / disaster movie.
