Do You Size up Your Duvet??

Ask a Question

So recently I changed my duvet from a king size to a Super king. We have a king size bed, but after speaking with a friend, she said she always sizes up. Having a big bed doesn’t mean someone isn’t going to try and ****** most of the covers - so I thought I would size up so both parties have more hanging over the side of the bed. I’m so glad I’ve done it. Even when the mr cocooned himself last night, I still had plenty of covers lol

I've always added extra. The kids had doubles on single beds and I had king on double but really should have gone to super king as the ex took most of it.

lilyflower I honestly never thought about it before, but I’m so glad I’ve changed to a bigger size as it makes a lot of difference lol

I have a double bed (it's plenty for just me) but yes I do have king size bedding. Personally I don't think size for size is big enough. I have what is called a small double 4 foot wide, in guest room but it has full double bedding.

I am intrigued to know what the censored word in your post is😂

Lynibis I didn’t swear I promise lol. I’m not sure why the team have starred it out. But I’m not going to say it again just incase lol

We currently have a double bed with double bedding. But we did used to have a king size duvet and at one stage we had a duvet each, as I apparently like to steal it and put the other half on the floor 😂

DeBunny hahaha that’s so funny. My husband joked about a duvet each lol. Maybe it’s not such a crazy idea after all 😅

Yip I’m the same, double bed but king duvet. It’s the best. Just a pain when you buy a set tho and need a double sheet and a king duvet cover x

After staying in a Scandinavian hotel which put two single duvets on a double bed we have done the same ever since. It's genius, we can both choose differing tog values and there is no stealing of covers. Clever people these Scandinavians

That does sound like a good idea. I remember when my daughter moved back home she had a king size on a single but to me that was way too big but on a double bed it’s worth thinking about.

I have small double sized bed and have used a double sized duvet so I can wrap myself tightly to keep warm when it’s autumn and winter ❄️ season! I do also use a huge throw too

Not for me too much especially as I sleep in a double bed to myself. Had to get rid of king as way too big for little me. However single beds need double .

Have always sized up as an adult, because I am the cover thief.

I love our duvet, it's a premier one & we don't feel like getting out of bed to go to work on cold mornings!
