SKY TV vs Netflix vs Amazon Films
Ask a Question
Hi there, we are looking at a few options. Either getting SKY TV, Netflies or Amazon Films and wondered if anyone could give any advice on what they would choose?
Netflix is easily the best and Now TV (Sky), Amazon Video Prime or BritBox don't stand a chance. Plus, if you have a quality VPN then you get even more Netflix content, and cheaper.
Oh yeah, if you don't watch live TV or BBC you don't need to pay the TV License. Many believe they have to pay because they own a TV.
Thanks so much for this advice. All really useful to know! I also definitely didn't know about the BBC tv license, so that's good news!
We have sky TV, Netflix and Amazon prime. We are cancelling our sky TV as it is going up to £63 in July and I refuse to pay that! We are keeping Netflix and Amazon. It depends what type of programmes you want to watch as to what TV will suit you. We love Netflix and Amazon prime. I like our sky TV too but it is just too expensive now.
Wow that is a huge amount! That's interesting to know. I think netflix seems to really be leading at the moment so may need to investigate more. Thanks.
SaverDeals that includes our broadband but it was still going to be £40 on TV and we just couldn't justify it! Netflix is brilliant as you can use it on more than one device.
We got rid of Sky & use Now TV, can always get cheap or free passes for movies etc. I often buy them from ebay x
Ooh this is interesting. I didn't realise they could be bought on eBay. Thanks for the heads up.
SaverDeals you get them instantly as they email you the code, I always check on there first x
I am surprised that no one has mentioned that sky is now in partnership with Netflix and you can get sky box sets and Netflix together in one package.
We just use Freeview, An appstore on the tv (I will update you when I have a look to see what it's called) which has films in it and Netflix.
I just download whatever I want for free through torrents and put them on a 4tb hard drive.
