Smartphone on a Budget of £80 - £160

Hi all I am looking for a decent entry/mid level smartphone on a budget of say £80 - £160 I have been looking and likes of motorola G13/23/G14/Go4 then Samsung A15/A05 then Honor X 6a/6b and Honor X 7a/7b then Poco C65/M6 pro then Redmii 13c etc I am not the savviest and have been looking round trying to weigh up the specs against each other and now 5 days later have a headache lol so any help from the saavy person or crew would be great . Generally looking for a camera that is half decent no blur like I found with the moto G13, a decent fast charging phone that last at least a day with decent refresh rate of say 90hz 120hz 144hz phone screen can be either can be hdr or hdr+ (720p or 1080p) for viewing movies etc no really fussed same with storage can be 64gb or 128gb.
Regarding ram preferably 8gb and up but could settle for 4gb ram if smooth OS .
And the OS have future proofing for security and software updates .

Don't know how you feel about buying used phones, but Cash Converters has it for £154.98 delivered (+ 1 year warranty).
Cheaper on Amazon, sold by Boss Deal. It says they're refurbished (don't know if they really do refurbish other than format the data and a wipe to clean the front/back).

Pixel 6a has guaranteed security updates until 2027 so still a long way. 
If you'd go with 7a it'd be 2028.
Pixel 8a has updates until 2031, but no way would I spend £350ish on a phone (or £449 brand new on Amazon).

I bought a Pixel 7a (128GB/8GB) from CC for £203.98 delivered and I'm very satisfied.
The main reason I bought 7a was due to the security updates support until 2028 and that I got tired of my Samsung A52s malfunctioning (never dropped it or anything, yet the near top of the screen doesn't recognize touchscreen).
And unlike Samsung, the Pixel only come with the stock Android, no bloatware apps (e.g. Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, etc).

PhilipMarc do you wrecken this is worth the money and taking the plunge in comparison to the phones I have stated above and others have stated on the post? Tryna find how many updates and up untill when they would be.
Jay420 I'd go with the Pixel 6a within that budget than the OnePlus (says it'll get some more security updates but that could be months or a year).
At least with the Pixel you know how long it lasts.

hky Yep. I just meant in terms of RAM that Nord has more, but for someone who wants a phone with updates that's not ideal.
I've tried a lot of Android brands and most of them disappointed me in one way or another, so I'm happy I finally went with a Pixel which is considered one of the best brands and also to install a custom OS (never done that myself).
PhilipMarc I don't think I'd like stock android due to the UI /style etc - I think maybe there's been an update in the recent months that has made the style/theme worse for me (and older family member using a Nokia phone), with lack of customization - it's not so easy for our eye and such. I never thought about custom OS though, so that's interesting.
hky Oh, just meant it comes with the basic apps and nothing else.
I use the Nova Launcher and it's honestly far superior than Google's launcher.
I have the Moto g13 my daughter has the g14 we both think they are great phones don't have a issue with them just what network are you on
If you look on Amazon there are loads available. The cheapest at the moment is £48.99 but they always have great deals

Leannexxx sorry that’s the cheapest one I could find . However I purchased one for £50 last year (not the one pictured here ). I’m still using it now. I didn’t expect much from it as it was so cheap but was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately I can’t find the model that I bought but there are lots of other models in that price range. If I were you I’d just read the reviews and ask friends and family advice (and obviously people on here) to see what they think . Then choose the one that suits you best . Good luck. I hope you manage to find what you’re looking for. I will add that I think the Huawei phones are really good
My husband has the Samsung A15 and he absolutely loves it. Excellent camera, battery lasts all day, takes 4 hours to fully charge if the battery is really low. My Dad has the A15 too, he also thinks it is great.
Most phones for your price range won't be great to be honest, they will run slow, I would recommend a Motorola though
If you google online you should get a few sites that have done comparison reviews of budget mobile phones in 2024 giving you all the advantages and disadvantages of each model. I quite like the redmi models but would always look to see what is recommended at the time. I never assume one brand is better than another I always look to see what is the current state of play.
I know it's all really confusing. I got my Motorola phone online from Curry's I'm really happy with it only cost £60. I got it delivered the next day and was sent afterwards lots of emails to check everything was ok. So maybe you could have a look there.
