Snake Found in Bag of Broccoli from ALDI

In the News

This customer got a little extra in his bag of broccoli , namely a snake

He found it nestling in the sealed bag in his fridge

Even though not poisonous they can give you a nasty nip and give off a foul odour

I imagine this one smelt even worse after spending time sealed in a bag with the broccoli

I dont think Aldi have a 'hiss' tory of this happening but they did try to "wriggle" out of it by offfering the customer some small compensation

But he says it is not enough and is holding out for more, money that is and not snakes 😊

Was it Asda or Aldi? You mentioned both. Mind you, I buy my broccoli frozen so even if there was a snake it would be frozen! 😅

I probably would have just got the snake out and dumped it in the garden, cleaned the broccoli very well and used it. Not a great fan of broccoli though so only buy when cheap for health reasons rather than taste. Much prefer ghost broccoli.

BonzoBanana I am surprised at you saying you would eat the broccoli after cleaning it! I only buy the frozen one.

It's a shame they put it in the fridge rather than a cupboard, because then they could have had a game of Snakes & Larders.

Strangely it was a 'Ladder snake' so you wonder how it got it's name perhaps it likes going up ladders or down them. Seems the ideal snake choice for a game of Snakes and Ladders. Snakes don't seem as threatening with an amusing hat.
