How Do I Restore the 'People' Tab on Facebook Messenger?

I usually have active status on and can see when my contacts are also active. Suddenly my people tab as disappeared and I now only have chats and channels icons. I can still see them active horizontally at the top of page but I preferred it much better when I clicked the people tab and they were in a vertical list. I can’t seem to get that back? Thank you in hope.
They have changed messenger and unfortunately this is one of the changes that has been made. As far as I know you are unable to change it back.
I'm still seeing people on my messenger, have you tried uninstalling the app and re-installing
martinlufc5637 I still see people but horizontal at top instead of vertical list which I liked better. I haven’t tried reinstalling yet.
