Summer Laziness

Other

Every year when the weather gets warmer and summer vibes are on, I've noticed I feel very lazy, low energy type and just demotivated. I

I've never been a garden person.. but I have a charity walk to do at the start of next month yet just two minutes outside and I was fed up oh dear

Oh well I have done some planting so hopefully that will give me a kick up the bum.

How do you guys feel.. are you the same or the complete opposite 😃

Do as the Europeans do daily, have an afternoon nap. It’s not just the elderly that have a siesta.

Summer means wearing light clothing, buying my cooked chicken and salad from Asda. And mowing my garden.

I find it easier to wake up in the morning during summer, but later in the day especially after lunch I always want a nap.

I abhor the heat..I soak my head in water and hide out in the shade. When then sun drops I love the cool of the night and hang out in the garden..even in the dark!

I love to relax out in the garden during the summer as it's the only time I don't feel quilty, I go at such a slower pace as the heat does take it out of me and can't sleep either.

I find I’m the reverse, as soon as the sun comes out it gives me a lift and I want to be out and about, although I wouldn’t do a marathon etc and as soon as the autumn/winter rolls in, I just hibernate inside and I don’t go out for days as I wfh and I will make up any excuse not to leave the house

Gromit22 I am very similar to you. I absolutely love the warmer days. Getting up early, going for a week and enjoying the longer days.

Yeah the heat causes that, summer is great when you can just lie about relaxing but it’s a bit of a nightmare when you’re at work

Definitely seem to struggle more in summer with energy but usually put it down to the fact I’m too hot to do anything

This heat has made me feel positively Ill and I know there is worse to come. No energy, lethargic and many headaches. Just doing my work is burdensome, can't wait until retirement end of July.

I think it’s natural and this kind of weather is why abroad in some places they have a siesta

The thing is, I’m just like that all the time. Lack of motivation. Managed to catch up on the washing today though, so I’m happy about that. I also notice in the summer. I’m not sure about other people but I find sleep a lot harder attend me up a lot longer that’s not because the sunsets later, just because when it’s time to go to sleep, I’m just not tired and I’m not one who can force it

Geekygamergurl if you read a good book in bed you will soon find your eyes drooping. My body is so set in this routine I am asleep often with kindle in hand and glasses still on. In fact it has spoiled daytime reading because I start to doze off as body thinks it's bedtime!😂

I found myself to be lethargic recently and wasn't sure why but then I realised I wasn't keeping hydrated, I started to drink a lot more water and feel more energetic again

Enjoy the sun whilst it's here, all too soon as will be complaining about frost and fog and the cost of putting on the heating.
