Are You Superstitious about Friday the 13th ?

In the News

Having just had a friday the 13th i am curious if anyone is that superstitious about it to not travel or stay in the house to avoid any accidents ?

My birthday being the 13th falls on a friday sometimes, as it just did , so i am used to it , consider it lucky and am not in the least bit worried about my day

Are you ?

Here is a little bit of information about it and how superstition about the 13th started

Not me guv.I don't pander to superstition.I'm a dyed in the wool Catholic lol. I Love odd numbers they make life more interesting . A Baker's dozen (13) kept you on the right side of a beating apparently. They threw in an extra roll or a bun to fall on the right side of the law.I'll have the extra doughnut if you don't mind. JLouM The way to think about it J is that bad luck is random

You can also make your own good luck

Keep a positive attitude and things could start looking up

As i mentioned earlier the 13th is lucky for me as i was born on that day, so i tend to defy superstition

telmel I do try to be positive but it’s not easy. I mean I’m probably a lot luckier than some but I never really have any particular ‘good’ luck.

No nothing wrong with Friday the 13th. Though full moon affecting people is fact same as wind. Working with kids you see it and how wind and full moon causes kids to change and be a pain

Jerseydrew I never knew that J , fascinating , thanks

I did find this on google

Does full moon affect autism?

Melatonin levels are affected by ambient light levels, even moonlight. Melatonin is a hormone that regulates sleep and wakefulness. In addition, melatonin production is suppressed by moonlight, and is lowest at the time of the full moon. These lower melatonin levels exacerbate autistic symptoms.Oct 15, 2021

telmel it effects everyone. Apparently those in old people's homes say the same

Thanks J , i suppose this could be where the werewolf legend partially comes from , with the moon changing peoples moods through the moonlight

I had no idea it was even friday the 13th tbh but no i am not superstitious in any way, shape or form. I think it's interesting that people are but just can't believe it myself.

jms19 I think a lot of people only associate it with the film with 'Jason' Voorhees now J

I don’t worry about Friday the 13th but I do worry about the month of October. Something has always gone wrong in that month over the years. Once I had someone run into the back of my car while it was being serviced at my local dealership.

Happy belated birthday telmel 🎂
