Taking 3 to 4 Hour Showers is the Latest TikTok Craze !!

In the News

Here is yet another ridiculous trend by TikTok, encouraging people to take 3 or 4 hour showers at a time

Besides the cost of the excess water and electricity , imagine a large family doing this, the shower would be in use 24 hours a day

What about the arguments this would cause families

And it is not healthy to over shower , you are washing away the good bacteria

I think the Chinese are trying to bankrupt the UK with their ridiculous TikTok trends

Not just the cost but bad for the environment. Probably a bit of bankrupting the rest of the world but bringing their energy use down by making the rest of the worlds usage higher

I'm very confused how TikTok is so influential on some people, crazes have always been around, internet videos were around long before TikTok, and people don't have to follow them. I know there is peer pressure but for so many people to follow it, get injured or worse. Some people need to think for themselves more. Things that are now classed as 'hacks' were just normal things I learnt growing up, I can't believe how many views some simple everyday life things get too.

The everything shower seems ridiculous in my opinion. I can get everything done in the shower within half an hour and even that is hard to stretch out to that, usually 15 minutes max.

We are encouraged to save the planet, this would not very helpful to the planet, even if it was water caught and reused in a water butt. Electric, gas and water prices have sky rocketed in the UK, so this would certainly not be the place to do it.

What idiots come up with theses stupid ideas. It will cost anyone with a meter a fortune, it's horrendous for the environment and we’ve already got a hose pipe here in Devon before summer has even started. Without fools making it worse having 4 hour long showers.

Ridiculous. When trends are created (by other people/brands/companies), someone makes a profit off consumers who are easily influenced!

Consumer I think TikTok should be made accountable for these irresponsible trends they allow to be posted , especially where they can damage the environment or injure individuals

Anyone who is an influencer is a waste of oxygen. These narcissists contribute nothing of value to the world, and it would be a better place without them.

gothvixen That is rather harsh! Some influencers recommend products they believe in and give out great helpful tips, some actually help people wasting their time and energy on other things and actually tell you the benefits and dangers of things.

At least they are working for themselves and they usually get bombarded with messages day and night, sometimes full of abuse, they take a lot for usually not always a huge reward.

gothvixen I don’t know about waste of oxygen, however it’s disappointing that when you ask children what they want to be when they are older and they say an influencer or YouTuber. What are we going to do in the future when we have nobody working actual professions.

She's NEVER been on any of the others, more interested than learning about the world around her..

I'd be impressed if anyone can find a tiktok trend that's good or useful. Maybe someone could start a stop smoking one.

The U.S. is trying to ban TikTok for the wrong reasons they say "it's an invasion of privacy," but so are Twitter, Facebook, Google, Instagram, NSA, FBI, etc though since it's TikTok screw it. Ban it.

Things that were usually kept behind closed doors are now shared through the social media and especially TikTok.
