This was on tonights news on tv and has been analysed by scientists at the University of Geneva in Switzerland
They found humans speak faster than dogs bark , dogs communicate at half the speed of humans
So to make it easier for the dogs to understand commands they say we need to speak slower to them, to give them a chance to comprehend what we want
The problem is you might be concentrating too much on slowing your speech down, and while doing this the dog will have snatched that treat out of your hand and made their getaway

Is this the same for my husband? I do tend to talk and he tends not to listen so maybe I need to slow down for him. Only joking!
