Has anybody to Tenerife? We are looking at going and thinking of staying in Costa adeje. We know about the zoo and summer park. Is there any other recommendations? There will be teenagers with us

I have only been there on a cruise. But what we did find out out where the buses were really cheap to use and easy to understand. We also hired a scooter, which was fun.

Jerseydrew My husband said he would never use one until the day I walked from the cruise ship to the shopping centre, a fair walk. Then suddenly he phoned me and said he was outside. I asked how he got there so quick and he had hired a scooter. We found them very safe to use in Tenerife where we were but that’s not always the case.

Tenerife is ok if you don't want culture, art, museums, good food and wine. It's great if you want a holiday where the only decent beach is on the other side of the island and has a lido with topless girls, casinos and bananas are somehow used in every meal.

Jerseydrew Just not my idea of fun, went as a teenager with my father who was more than happy with the lifestyle there having been a frequent visitor to London's Playboy club.

Been there three times over the years , the best time was when i hired a car and drove from the north to the south of the island , driving up and down Mount Teide was an experience, and getting the cable car to the summit, the winding roads are not for the faint hearted though

I would go out of season to avoid the idiots

Not sure if you’re talking about loro parque when you say the zoo but it’s definitely worth a visit. I’d also say go and visit the volcano and do wale/dolphin boat trip if you can.

My top 10 to visit on Tenerife would be Siam Park Water Park, Loro Parque, Monkey Park and Zoo, Lago Martianez Water Park, Mount Teide, Natural Pools El Coleton and Aqua Land, Costa Adeje.I have been many times to Tenerife over the years and it is a beautiful island with lots to see. There are no golden beaches as the ones are Tenerife are black volcanic sand.Best place for golden beaches and azure seas is Fuertventura which is now my favourite island.

Costa Adeje is a really nice place from what I can remember. I've only been once and really enjoyed myself. You'd really enjoy the waterpark

There are a few Water sports centres around Costa adeje which may appeal to teenagers, Jet Skis Parascending, Banana boats ,Paddle boarding etc but whatever you decide to do Tenerife is an amazing island Enjoy.

It's been aong time since I've been to Tenerife. There are things to do around the area. There is the falls, the water park, the zoo. Altea is a small place near Tenerife which is pretty.
