Travelodge Hotel Stays: Experiences and Recommendations
Ask a Question
As Travelodge are offering hotel deals on todays deals, has anyone stayed in one before. What are they like? Do they offer good value for money? Do they offer breakfast or can you buy dinner there when you arrive etc. I’ve never stayed in one before but fancy few days break away and want people’s opinions on staying there and which 1s they’ve stayed at etc
stayed in many, never had an issue, always clean. i've stopped in a fair few premier inn as well, but always choose travel lodge if i can. they do meals on an evening and breakfast, but i tend to just use to get my head down and prefer to eat elsewhere.
I
Personally I haven’t stayed in one, I usually go Premier Inn. My sister stayed in one in London for my niece’s graduation. I think North Wes of London, not sure which one but she was happy with it. My parents (elderly) also stayed in one near York station and they were perfectly happy with it.
Not in a long time but yes I have. It was a nice hotel. Like it and would stay in one again
Stayed in quite a few. It depends on which one you stay on if they have a restaurant on site so check the one you are looking at. A lot of them you can add unlimited hot and cold breakfast buffett for between £9.50 and £9.99 and 2 kids eat free with one paying adult.
Some have free parking and some city locations don’t have onsite but tell you where you can park. There are lots but look at the summary before you book but they are great value. Like this one has hot breakfast, food and drink and free parking so you can see easily on the results page without clicking in
We've used them lots of times and never had an issue. Each site is different so it's well worth reading reviews.
They seem good value for money but wanted general consensus before deciding to book to stay in one. Think I’d prefer 1 with restaurant inside or restaurant very close by
Potluck really we've stayed at many Travelodge's, unlike Premier Inn which I personally prefer, Travelodge just don't seem to have one set of standards throughout the country some really nice , some average and some very poor, generally the newer or refurbished ones are the best. Some have smallish cafe/bar areas, where you can have breakfast , an evening meal or a drink, others just a vending machine near reception , with a continental style breakfast box delivered to your room if you want it. Overall if the price is right and its just for a few night go for it.
I've stayed in a lot of travelodges over the years. However, not recently. My experiences have always been good as they are generally good value for money. How I see hotels rooms, they are somewhere to sleep and refresh and travelodge offers that.
From London to Edinburgh to Cardiff to Bristol KB I have stayed in each of these and there has been no cause fo complaint with the rooms being comfortable as opposed to luxurious but generally the price and location makes them a viable choice especially if you are spending your waking hours enjoying what your travelodges locality has to offer
The worst 'hotel' that I've ever stayed in was a Travelodge in Central Cardiff. It was absolutely terrible.
