What Did You Want for Xmas That You Never Got?
Ask a Question
I always wanted adidas popper trousers that my parents couldn't afford so they would buy 2 stripe bottoms instead. I remember being to embarrassed to wear out! I was also desperate for a pair of converse as the ultimate cool trainers. I bought myself a pair a few years ago and was so disappointed in the quality for the price! What was yours?
Thinking about it i guess i was very lucky as a child and i cant say i ever didnt get what i wanted. Although my mum did hide something i really wanted in the morning and then id find it later in the day which i fell for every year.
That's cool I might do that this year! We never went without as children just didn't get exactly as we had asked for. My children's list includes an iPhone which they den won't get!
MumOfThree i remember one year i didnt get exactly what i asked for i was a tomboy and wanted a new bike, i saw a black mountain bike and it had few bright coloured flowers on it (like surf type). Woke up on xmas to a lilac bike (what you could see of it) plastered in pretty girly flowers i hated it. First time i took it out someone asked if i had wallpapered my bike. Never rode it again
I really wanted a spirograph, but never received one. Was thoroughly spoilt at Xmas though, lol.
I wanted Mr Frosty and didn't get it. However I've been told I have this for christmas and that makes up for it and I do have the syrup to go with it. Just because I'm middle aged doesn't mean I'm over not getting Mr Frosty. I've just gone for the more grown up version.
MumOfThree It's taken several decades as my parents didn't believe Mr Frosty was worth the money but my love of slush hasn't left me so now finally after all these years I get a slush machine. Probably should of let me get over it as a child but better late than never
I wanted a Nintendo gamdboy they got my sister one instead, and I always wanted a Mr Frostie, we had a family friend giving one away but Mum still said no as its too messy
I think what i wanted most of all as a kid was a puppy! But due to circumstances, it was not going to happen. We did eventually rescue a cat, but I spent the entire time treating it as a dog
