Do You Watch Spin off Shows/prequels?

Lately it seems to be the trend that a main show has a spin off or a prequel. I watch amazons the boys and they did a spin of called Gen V which was really good.
Game of thrones has also recently done house of the dragon and LOTR has rings of power, whilst I enjoy these sometimes I get confused with all the names and who’s related to who in what way 
if it bares no relevance to the original show do you bother watching? One I never could bring myself to watch was breaking bad spin off, better call saul
To be honest if i really love a show i do give the spin off a go but most times lose interest. There seems to be too many spins offs etc now and it just feels never ending.
jms19 This is how I feel! I can hardly keep up! And theres only so many hours in the day to watch TV haha
HannahSunderlan for me the reason i lose interest is the break between seasons, with a lot of tv shows now i just wait till it’s finished so i can watch all the seasons one after another.
You miss out on the hype but i find i enjoy it a lot more
I have been enjoying House of Dragon but it falls short of GOT a tiny bit. I do sometimes feel that's because we no longer feel the excitement of something new, just more of the same but just as good.
I watched Better Call Saul and it was quite good, keeping with the same vibe as Breaking Bad - kept true to the show
hspexy I could just never get into it, maybe enough time has passed now that on a second go I could maybe.. but it seemed a very slow start? I may be wrong, I probably never watched enough or I just have no patience
I watched every episode of The Walking Dead, I'm now just starting to watch Rick's spin off and will watch Daryl's spin off 
Pinkspirit ....My partner binge watched The Walking Dead, I would watch it with him but missed a few episodes due to working overnight so I lost interest, he has just started watching Rick's spinoff too...
I absolutely love Better Call Saul, currently rewatching it. The first episode is a slow burner but I thought the same about Breaking Bad and both are amazing.
We watched the Rings of Power too and looking forward to the next season.
If I enjoyed the original then I will give the spin off or prequel a go.
I loved watching Frasier which was a spin off of Cheers. Gentle humour and no blood or violence.
Pjran I used to love cheers but could not get on with Frasier, the same goes for Young Sheldon, love that but not the Big Bang theory.
Depends. I watch some spin off. I watched Fraiser before I watched cheers. I liked the Bridgeton spin off.
If it's a series or film I really like I will give any spin off a try. Some work some don't. I love the boys and liked gen v. I'm looking forward to the new prequel coming soon. Never watched GOT
