Do You Wear SPF Everyday??

Ask a Question

Was chatting with a friend about spf and wearing it on my face everyday. She was surprised to hear that I wear it even when it’s not sunny out. I explained that the weather app shows uv rays even on overcast days.

Do you wear spf on your face everyday? Or only abroad on holiday?

I have spf in my foundation which I wear daily but I don’t apply sun cream unless I’m sitting outside. I don’t sunbathe because I just go red.

Pjran it’s great that some foundations have spf in them. Means you only have to buy one product instead of two

There is SPF in the face cream that I use every day. I wear a higher face SPF in the summer. I try to stay out of the sun when it is really hot.

MrsCraig that’s the best advice isn’t it. Professionals do say to try and avoid being in the sun when it’s at its hottest

PayItForward I don't like it when it is too hot so avoid going outside. My mum has always worn SPF so I learnt to do it from her.

No I don’t. I’m usually indoors or if outside a lot I would but usually on the sunnier days. I’ll also wear a hat.

JLouM that’s still protection in itself that you avoid being out in the sun and will wear a hat

I rarely wear it in the UK - I need my melanin and natural vitamin D to be topped up.

Yes I wear SPF every day even when I’m in the house as the sun rays come through the window

tara73ziva I think that’s what the advice is. I’m definitely trying to be more aware - even if it isn’t overly sunny. Skin cancer is on the rise

Great 👍🏻 chat 💬 topic yeah I talked wi to a friend too she wears it everyday I’m the exact same as you I look at the weather app lol I use Nivea face cream 🧴 but it’s just spf 15 lol 😚on days that are higher 5 or 6 I put on another layer, a thicker spf that’s 50+

The number is the burn time I think how long it lasts before it gets to your skin I dunno 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just reading too much about it scares me 😳😅

kitty88uk I have a friend that doesn’t wear sun screen at all. We went on holiday and she didn’t put any on her body. she got burnt and said it would make for a better tan 🤯

I am so worried she’s going to get skin cancer, but she doesn’t seem to be concerned

I don’t wear make up but everyday I apply an anti aging sun cream to my face and a balm to my lips. Been doing this everyday for years.

My moisturiser has SPF 30 in it and I wear it daily, my make up has SPF in it. When I’m overseas I wear the moisturiser and I don’t burn but I do tend to wear a hat and sunglasses throughout my holiday. When I’m on the beach I top up and never burn.

Skin cancer has increased traumatically and they say it’s higher in certain age groups due to not realising the dangers and also when I grew we didn’t hear of suncream and SPF. Hopefully now we realise the dangers maybe in a few years there will be a decline of skin cancer.

I'm too lazy but I think it's a good idea.

I wear a SPF 50 face cream every time I plan to leave the house. But if I'm staying at home then I just put on a normal moisturiser.

SalmaS it’s good that you wear it leaving the house. The sun uv rays ages your skin, so it’s another reason to protect it
